Default IGN Plagiarism Debacle

Recently, Filip Miucin, now former Nintendo editor, was caught plagiarizing a Dead Cells review video by Boomstick Gaming.

Here's a timeline of events:
July 24: Boomstick Gaming releases his video reviewing Dead Cells
August 6:
* Filip Miucin releases "his" video reviewing Dead Cells
* Boomstick releases a video comparing his review vs. IGN's
* IGN pulls video and transcript citing investigation
August 7: IGN relieves Filip Miucin of his duties.

IGN handled the situation as well as they could, though this tarnished their reputation. As for Filip, his career is shot. I cannot imagine any other big name journalism site hiring him for anything. He has shown so little ethics that he may as well find a new career. DreamcastGuy has said that he knows Filip, and he was angry Filip did this. YongYea has found evidence that Filip plagiarized NintendoLife's review of Fifa 18.

This incident does have a couple of beneficial side effects. Boomstick Gaming saw his subscriber numbers increase to 44k. Motion Twin, the developer and publisher of Dead Cells, has seen an increase of interest of its game. Even Jim Fing Sterling Son has given it a positive review.
