  • Pro-life inconsistencies

I know, I know...this chart can be a bit difficult to read. Unfortunately I looked for an alternate text-based version, but couldn't find one.

This chart very clearly and articulately sums up how the ideas of the more militant factions of the pro-life crowd are actually not consistent with their overall beliefs. Nothing I haven't known for long a time, but it's good to see someone put it in writing!

Someone needs to make one of these for the policies of those against same sex marriages.

    An excellent chart.

The Pro-Life camp's main motto is that "Abortion is murder", and they claim that this is the one and only motivation for their cause.

The chart presents a number of policies of the Pro-life camp, down the bottom left column.

In the next 2 columns, the question is "Is this policy consistent with the belief that abortion is child murder" and "Is this policy consistent with wanting women who have sex to suffer consequences", because the creator of the chart is trying to show that deterring women from sex is the main drive of the pro-life camp, not a concern for unborn fetuses.

Each policy is then given a "yes" or "no" to the above questions, and an explanation why. The general idea is that the policies are almost always "no" to being consistent with their main argument (abortion is child murder), showing that they have an agenda to their cause.

Hopefully that helped and didnt confuse you more~!

I've never understood the whole "women aren't supposed to have sex, but men are, but only with women" business anyway.

By the way, where does that chart come from?

Hmmmm.... men are supposed to have sex. Women are not supposed to have sex. Who does that leave for the men to have sex with?

Oh my GOSH!!!! The radical right wants men to be gay!!!!

The religious right wants women to be neatly categorized into "whores" and "wives".

...Which would make all the men fit into the categories of "douchebags" and.... well, okay, just the one category.

Any comment I make should not be taken as an absolute, unless I say it should be. Even this one.

Excellent work, Smiley! And the icing on that chart cake for me is the Ghostbusters quote.
