    That's why I always have facial hair. I hate looking 10 years younger than I am. (I'm 24, and clean-shaven, I look about 15 or 16.)

Right now I go with a soul patch, though I've done a partial goatee before, too. I just *never* wear a moustache. Tried it once, despised it.

I love my hubby's goatee. He's asked if he could shave it, and I said NO!!!

I know plenty of guys who look good with goatees. I can only think of two guys I know who were really able to pull off a full beard. I guess it really depends on the person.

My husband has a mustache and goatee.

When he just has a mustache, I think he looks like a 70s porn actor.

He can't grow a full beard (like my dad, one side doesn't come in fully).

Over Thanksgiving (? - I can't remember) weekend, he shaved his mutache and goatee. Every morning, and every evening, I'd ask him "Are you gonna grow your goatee & mustache back?"

He finally grew it back over Christmas vacation. And I'm much happier. And I've been keeping him much happier since!

I love facial hair (Elvis with his sideburns, Kenny Rogers with his beard) ... If my husband hadn't grown back his mustache/goatee, I would have had to start kissing random mustached/goateed/bearded guys just to get my point across to hubs.

Besides, without facial hair, my husband looks like he's 12! And I with grey hair, don't want to look older than hubs.

Heh, Craig Ferguson was talking about this last night with Jon Heder.

The SO had a goatee during his last visit. The day after he went back home, we turned on our webcams, and he had shaved! I made a serious pouty face and he agreed to grow the goatee back. It just really suits him.

I think it depends on the face...some look better with a goatee and some look better with a beard you just have to figure out which is better for you.

I'd say that's pretty strong evidence you should stick with the goatee!

I wish I could grow a good goatee. I sort of have one, but the area that connects the chin hair with the mustache hair is thin and doesn't really grow in very well. I could have them seperate, but I want them together dammit!

Many years ago I was looking in the mirror preparing to shave and then thought to myself "I am NOT going to do this every day for the rest of my life!" Since that time I have had a full beard, but mostly keep it trimmed pretty short, never more than about two weeks without a trim. A long bushy beard I do not like, but a short one looks, to my mind, great, and it sure beats one more daily chore.

ZZ Top beards aren't my cuppa tea.

I much prefer either a Kenny Rogers' type beard or a Kenny Rogers' type mustache/goatee! (And I just basically like Kenny Rogers!)

Mr. Rum's goatee & mustache do not link up. They are very distinct from each other. But I like the look. It suits him.

Fitting in with this thread, I just shaved my beard off on Monday, I've already decided I don't like it and am going to grow it in again.

I forgot to mention that I am going with a goatee now. Here and there, i shave it and leave a soul patch

                          Nah, nah, Nah...
Grow the whole Grizzly Adams out... then slowly shave or crop off the parts that don't look good.
A trim here, a trim there and you'll eventually find a good look...
Unless you're like me and you just keep trimming and shaving and end up with no facial hair and no hair on top of my head either. Can never get the sideburns even.
