As an Army veteran of 25 years we referred to our flying brethern as the Chair Force as they did the majority of their fighting while sitting down.

Join the Army to meet new and interesting people and then kill them.

Nahhh killin isn't a good thing even if the person is your enemy unfortunately lots of the time you don't have a choice.

Actually, we're deploying a lot more now, taking care of our own security and combat missions instead of leaving it up to the Army. One of our cadre even worked alongside the Army, augmenting as personnel at a POW camp in Iraq.

You've obviously never heard what the acronym MARINES actually is:

              Muscles
              Are
              Required
              Intelligence
              Not
              Essential

In other news, paratroopers routinely jump out of perfectly good airplanes with not a thing wrong with them, and we though marines were dumb!

What!? It's all in good fun!

The first thing they teach you in airborne school is that there is no such thing as a perfectly good airplane.
Airplane = a million parts flying in close formation made by the lowest bidder.

It stands for So There but is implied by sticking your tounge out after you say E.

It is the 'Marine Corps' not the 'Marines Corps' that's grammatically wrong.

Yes, but they are refered to as Marines.

In plural mention of collective members of the Marine Corps, but the acronym joke is about the corp itself, not the members. As weird as that sounds.
