Found another public freakout video in my recommendations. Before filming, the camera man confronted the woman in the red car about her son dinging his car. She goes berserk and starts swearing like a sailor at the guy and that's when he starts filming.

From the video, it would appear that red car mom is in the wrong and she is being a huge asshole (particularly toward her son). But we're only seeing things from the camera mans perspective. It's possible that he flipped out on her first and then started filming when she fought back. I've experienced the other side of this and remember one time when some guy freaked out on my mom for nearly dinging his car.

Here, it looks like the car was dinged, but it's such minimal damage that's barely noticeable. The kids mom was still sucky either way, but why make a big deal over the kid dinging the car?

depends on how much the damage would cost to get fixed. For some cars, even a barely-noticeable ding would both cause a significant drop in the car's value, and cost a lot of money to get fixed. Granted that you should be *really* careful with those cars, but it does make it more understandable why you'd make a big deal out of it.

I have scratches in the paint on my car from ice cracking and ripping off, and I don't care. There are some little scuffs and dings along the sides from random crap, and I couldn't care less. People who flip out over scratches in their car make me feel like they shouldn't be driving it. There are so many "Act of God" incidents that can happen while you are driving properly and safely that I just can't be bothered to spend the energy (or money) to repair them when they aren't hindering the car (or the car's safety measures) in any way.

My dad bought this New blue beautiful in perfect condition truck and was paranoid as fuck every time I stuck my bicycle in the back he would glare at me and say, "if you scratch it" "I won't dad geeze"

Finally he was sick of worrying so he went out and bought the biggest ugliest Orange truck he could find we named it the BUOT and he said "Do whatever you want I don't care"

I forgot to mention that he did ask her for her insurance info and that's when he says she flipped out.

I agree that these people who are making a big deal about their car never being touched should either a) keep their car in their garage or b) chill the hell out.

with one provisio, I actually agree. That provision is you take reasonable care not to damage someone else's car- and if you do see an expensive car do try to avoid damaging it. ( one suggestion, for example, is if you have the choice- that is, another spot a reasonable distance away- don't park next to an expensive car.)

Granted, I can't really identify "expensive" cars all that well. I am very good at parking straight between my lines. If they dropped the money on an expensive car, and they're going to drive it around, they have to accept the same "dangers" as anyone else.

I take great care to not hit anyone's car at any point, but I'm not going to inconvenience myself because someone else had the disposable income to drop on a shiny toy.

I was in a parking lot with friends stretching our legs while our friend was inside getting his drink. I saw what turned out to be a Porsche I wasn't trying to be loud but I am and I told my friends "Man that is clearly a piece of shit car" the owner got in my face about it "You know how fast this can go" "Uhm well speed limits so speed only matters on a race track. It's a piece of crap because it's too low to the ground their's no room for your friends and the trunk space is a joke"

He stormed off I wasn't trying to be mean it's just my standard for a hot car is a sedan with lots of trunk space so you and your friends can take roadtrips.
