I'm on Book of Faces a LOT so my comments here are based on what I see there.
And I find it fascinating that there is so much hostility aimed at the opening ceremonies (wrongly mislabelled by people who genuinely didn't know what was going on) and on a woman boxer who doesn't fit most people's stereotypical ideas of what a woman *should* look like.
And yet there's barely ANY comments about Steven van de Velde, the Dutch beach volleyball guy who is a convicted pedophile (he was 19, the rape victim was 12). And he hasn't faced the press during the Olympics, not once. Clearly he's a big enough "man" to force himself on a child but can't get it up enough to face the media.
Maybe he's afraid his limp little dickie will fall off.
