  • I normally have no issue with this, but...

I generally have no problem with the rather unusual or unique names certain ethnic groups are known for bestowing upon their children. But every once in a while...

"Czhezlordeunm" is apparently a girl's name.

How do you even pronounce that?

I....can find absolutely no origin for that, so I'm guessing the parents made it up off the top of their heads?

Perhaps the more accurate question here would be: Why bestow a name upon your child that is so far removed from the child's native language in structure and pronounciation that it will obviously give them a fark ton of trouble their whole life?

Hell, just spelling her name is going to cause her difficulty.

Looking at that name makes my eyes cross >.> Seriously, a set of randomly drawn Scrabble tiles had to be involved in this one. Actually, 2 sets, since there are 2 Zs in the mix. Oy, that poor kid. That would be one hell of a score in Scrabble, though -.-

Not to make light of the fact there's a missing girl in this mix, are we sure she didn't run away to get away from parents that would strap their daughter with such a moniker?

            ^-.-^

Can't see any links in the OP, so at first I was thinking you meant this was a case of a missing girl just waiting to happen, but then re reading it, it reads like she is missing and the name stands out hence the post.

Although personally it sounds like some active ingredient in nasal decongestives

If you do a search by the name alone, the only responses will be about a missing girl of said name. Well, that is, after you tell Google that you really do want to search for that ugly string of letters and not for, say, chloroform or similar.

Yeah, saw it on a missing child poster at work.

                    Czhezlordeunm- high priestess of Cthulhu

Sadly, this truly is the first possible meaning of that name I was able to conjure.

Which means that likely is where the parents got it and are the bad kind of geek parents.

To explain bad geek parents force their own fandom down their kids throats.

Good geek parents expose their children to everything and encourage their children to enjoy what they enjoy.

(that includes geek pursuits like movies and sports that people don't think are geek pursuits)

Honestly I think if you have a name that unique and you really think your kid would love it then by god make it the middle name so if the kid really wants to go by it then they can.

For example I wanted one of my daughter's names to be latin so her middle name is a latin word. Later found out it is also She Ra's secret identity so uhm double geek points? I guess.

Adora, right? ^^ That's a reasonable sounding name; particularly if you called her brother Adam. XD

I don't mind unique sounding names if they sound pretty; but the name in the OP? Sounds like a sneeze. O.o

*nods* It's actually Latin for one who is adored which is why I named her that for her middle name. Then later was rewatching the old She Ra/He Man crossover and realized where else it came from.

She has now named her dog Adora in a kind of reverse Indiana Jones thing.
