It's a bit easier for women, it's just about expected, if you're a guy however, well, you're not a man until you've had sex.

I understand that pressure, and that's what society says, but that doesn't mean it's true. There are plenty of other things that actually make a person a real man, and none of them have to do with fucking a girl.

I would like to hope that when a man finally matures in other ways, he matures regarding sex.

Ya know, because I'm not horny all the damn time, it means I "never" am, and like my original rant, I said no once, he got all butthurt, and decided I "never" want to have sex.

He went nearly 24 years without having sex, and now that he has done it, it's like his dick will fall off if he doesn't get it all the time.

Why do you date these guys, blas? Hell, where do you even find all these man-children?

Well, I thought I upgraded. Found one with not only no criminal record, but actually has a job (remember, the other one didn't want to work), a valid driver's license with no restrictions because of a clean record, goals as far as the same accounts and savings that I have through work.

And we've always been close at work even if we didn't work together because we've always felt pretty much the same about the same people. Especially now that the notorious one I talk about and another wannabe boss have really given us a bad taste about work lately.

At first I was really happy because he's practically mute. Nothing better than a guy that doesn't talk back.

Well, after spending a little time with me, even though he isn't as straight forward as the average guy, oh he learned to talk back a little, and make mountains out of molehills or come to stupid conclusions.

My thread is a mix of past and present, back on topic, because obviously the period talk, well, I haven't had a period in years, so I can't be talking about myself now.

              Ummm slight correction....

Down my way (suburban chick ) it's generally expected that you've lost your virginity in Years 10-12 at school in one way or another. That applies to girls AND guys.
I bucked the trend and didn't lose my virginity until well after high school. My female friend still hasn't lost hers, but she can't really "lose" it anyway....she has MRKH, which not only renders her infertile, but is natures way of saying "here, you're going to be lucky and not have a period, but in turn, you need to use dilators in order to stretch your vagina out so you can have intercourse!" (she's lucky...she DOES have her ovaries, just no uterus) So if she wants to pop her cherry, she'll be doing it before she and her man start doing the horizontal salsa
She's also lucky in that her first time will be with someone she loves...a "date, fuck and dump" is not really an option for her.

Not heard of that condition. I doubt it prevents STDs, though, so not quite as lucky as I'd thought.

Yeah it doesn't. While she is still at the risk of PID, she just doesn't have to shove a tampon up her vagina every month.

For the record, it's congenital, so she was born with it, and the condition can vary from having just no uterus, to not even having any ovaries and in some cases, missing a kidney.

I offered up the opportunity to be a surrogate for her should she ever want it.

orgasms during menstral cycles have been linked to lesser rates of cervical cancer j/s.

i have the opposite problem of the OP. higher sex drive than my primary partner. being constantly rejected by a partner does hurt. it's hard not feeling desirable.

Thing of it is, it's not that I don't find the person undesirable. I just don't feel like doing it right now. If I wasn't attracted to the person, I wouldn't be with them.

I can understand why someone would feel that way, but it's just not the case. Especially when the next day, I may be better rested or have more energy or just be feeling more like my regular self and am ready to say, "Let's shut off the TV and get ready for bedtime." winkwinkhonkhonk.

Granted, I have the sleep cycle of a baby/elderly person, so that's always my excuse.

@ blas, for you it may be next day or a few days later. i am aware that each person is diffrent. but for some people it may go months before they desire having sex again. some people go years. or never want it again. and it's expected of the sexual partner to both accept this, and to also never engage in sex again without complaint. which is why so many sexual people married to asexual people fall into the "cheating" rut.

THIS! This is exactly the situation I'm in. I have already wandered a bit, but if the opportunity arises I'm doing it again. It's not fair to make me celibate just because he wants to be.

this is the reason we decided to open our marrige
it's unfortunate that so many people belive they have a right to control another person's sexuality, either by forcing them to perform, or forcing them to repress. either way it ends in anger and resentment. i know many men that "cheat" on asexual partners. they do not love their partners any less, but at the same time they are killing themselves trying to repress that sexual urge.

Well ,it is cheating if the other partner doesn't know about it. If one partner has sexual needs that the other partner isn't fulfilling - and they're ACTUAL sexual needs, not just "you turned me down for sex once" - and they both agree to open the relationship, then that's one thing. But sleeping with somebody else without your partner knowing about it is still cheating, no matter the reason.
