Oh, god, Doc. Sounds way too familiar.

Unless we are referring to work friends, who work my same shift....oh wait, even a couple of them just never seem to freaking sleep.....but yeah, the "normal" people who refuse to ever understand what it's like to be a day-sleeper most of the week and be dead tired the rest of the time....ugh. Yet, if I dared call/text them at 3 am, they'd have my head on a platter for waking them or their baby or significant other up as well.

But no, go ahead and text me at 1 pm on a Tuesday to tell me that you're going out tonight to watch the Brewers game, and hope I stop by. Yeah, I work at 6:30 you fucking dumbass. Every Tuesday. Since forever.

I feel worse for my coworkers who work weekends, though, because no one has any sympathy for people working that shift, and they are always left out of nearly everything.

To the people who work the same shift as me, and never freaking sleep....what is the matter with you? Do you really think everyone else can manage on 4 hours of sleep a day? NO, I do not want to go to Mall of America three hours after work on a Friday morning. Are you insane? We just worked back to back four 12 hour shifts. NO.

I've been guilty of adding my brother into an outing, but I hate when I'm supposed to only go out with one girlfriend for a few drinks, and it turns out into total girls' night out, like 10 of us, actual bar hopping. Great. We'll lose about 3 of us after a few drinks and a couple of stops. Then another one will run off crying, another one will find some random guy and we'll lose her, yeah, so much fun! I mean, we've had some genuinely fun nights, but those were planned in advance and never a spur of the moment thing. I'm not an ass and don't care if someone else joins, but for Pete's Sake, there's limits.

Or just the nonsense I posted earlier. Someone you really want to hang out with and never get to see, whenever they are around, they have someone phone stalking them or bugging them, like my brother did for so long. We couldn't do anything without his dumb girlfriend being there in one way or another.

The captain is another main reason why I don't go out even by myself.
When I meet up with him its just me and him and the same stale conversation or me doing most of the talking (I even put my foot down and said if you cant bring a convo dont even bother showing up, that was a month or more ago he's not asked if I fancy a pint since)
So when I did go by myself I would just park myself in a quiet corner and just have a few pints and that would be that, I was at teh point where I wanted to have a drink but didn't want to be like some of the guys in the house who drank (too much) at home.

I also have a foul temper at times and me + bottled beer on a foul mood = bad idea, so it may take a few days to simmer down from some issues so going out over that period is always a no no if I want to keep from being arrested.
