Basically, an art student decided to see how gender roles and make up associate with one another through this series of photographs. It's not limited to just hetero couples; any couple that has a more feminine and more masculine partner would do.

It's neat to look at, at least. I'm not quite sure what it really says yet though.

It's trying to explore how society puts expectations on the appearance of women and treats men in another way entirely as regards appearance.

One of the quotes that I think sums it up, really:

I just did a one musical in high school and, just to me, it's weird to see a guy with makeup on unless he's on stage, pretending to be something other than what he is.

If you were to take that statement and apply it to women...
