Male. Have never done it, however, not that spooked by it. I'd have to know that my she was OK with it before hand, but towels and a rubber, and I'd be good to go...

towels, shower sex, mutual masturbation, etc. there are always ways around it.
although i can imagine never ever doing it with a new partner without STI and tests for other bloodborne illness like the hep viruses. risk goes up so much more with blood involved. you'd have to be really comfortable with someone and their sexual health.
ambrosia: hahaha, i hate that. it's like the hormone's one last attempt to get ya knocked up before they give up.All uses of You, You're, and etc are generic unless specified otherwise.

Blood doesn't bother me, nor Rob [hey, he is an EMT and he did would care on me for 3 months postsurgery back in the 90s]
That being said, before my hysterectomy the best way I can describe my average day mestruating is dumping out a clot or equivalent to a ping pong ball in size about every 1.5 to 3 hours, with the sensation of someone reaching up inside my cunt, grabbing a handfull of innards and slowly dragging them out while twisting.
No, fucking on my period was nothing that ever interested me. Even if I didn't have those issues, the idea of having to clean up afterward really takes the interest out of the idea.

I'm on no-period pills, however, we live in an imperfect world and every once in a while I get a two or three day period (tuh huh) of some spotting or very light flow. Enough to need a few light tampon changes a day.
The last one happened while I was seeing someone. Guys are so damn horny anyways, and as long as it didn't bother him, it didn't bother me.

IT depends on your squick/gag response.
As a guy I have no problem with sex during a woman's period if they were willing and wanted to engage in some fun. Though going down on her was not really something I wanted to try (squick/gag factor).
My Ex and I used a towel underneath her, had a couple of washcloths for both (bleached in the wash) for cleanup and a trip to the bathroom for more complete cleanup afterwards.I'm lost without a paddle and I'm headed up sh*t creek.
I got one foot on a banana peel and the other in the Twilight Zone.

I'm on the implant now, tho there's occasional spotting there's no pain so in theory it wouldn't bother me.
Back when I was on the pill and still had painful periods, no fucking way is any guy getting near me unless it's to bring me chocolate."Oh wow, I can't believe how stupid I used to be and you still are."

Tried once with my partner, didn't work so well, I have a fairly sensitive snese of smell and the metallic smell of the blood killed the mood rather quickly (I don't think I've ever lost an erection that fast before or since) Too much mess and given that it usually only lasts 2 or 3 days every month and a bit it's easier just to go without.I am a sexy shoeless god of war!
Minus the sexy and I'm wearing shoes.

I've never been comfortable with it......and I've asked my gf this very question in case it does come up and she was like "that's your free time and I probably won't bother you" so I'm guessing no on her part.https://www.youtube.com/user/HedgeTV
Great YouTube channel check it out!

Strangely, he's yet to take me up on that...
I'd like to continue to read people's reactions to and opinions about this, but I'm thinking my point was proven. To wit, that while a lot of people are grossed out by it and won't do it, it is not as universal as my female friend seemed to think, and I am not alone in my willingness to engage in such activity.
And while I won't do it, I have met guys who would happily go down on a woman at such a time. I think that's weird, but I think eating olives is weird, and I've noticed that people have a wide variety of sexual interests and dislikes, and are not universal in either.
Except mimes. No one wants to fuck a mime.

And that is the heart of the matter. My point was that the men you have talked to about this in real life were not necessarily representative of the population as a whole.
Still, an interesting topic and conversation, and I hope it continues here.

But I'm still quite surprised. Most of my friends are men. Admittedly, I don't necessarily talk about such things with all of them, but the topic has come up more than a few times both among platonic friends and men I've dated. This discussion has been quite eye-opening. And I agree, I do hope it continues here.

Female here and I was always pretty squicked out about sex on my period. Too messy and I was always really tender and crampy while on my period (and orgasms seem to make me MORE crampy, contrary to what everyone else says.) I'm on a period-less pill now, like blas, and I'm okay with the occasional spotting that happens.
My husband and most of my previous boyfriends are fine with period sex, and at least one of them I can remember was okay with going down on a gal on her period.
