No, there's not a resurgence of Federalists but there is a conservative blog that has adopted the name which frankly confused the hell out of me when I saw it referenced the first time.
A Federalist by definition would be closed economically and strong government leaning (A Democrat) but also for a strong central bank, largely Wall Street tolerant, and very into financial solevency to the point that really neither Democrats nor Republicans could claim their mantle.
Both modern political parties have either doubled down on social programs or "starve the beast" to the point that financial solvency is quite honestly secondary.Comment
