Something I wrote a few years back. Sort of a political song. It has an angry, driving, metal feel to it. I don't have a title for it, or a "formal" structure for it yet, but here goes...

Spinning the lies!
Truth in disguise
Deceiving the ears,
Deceiving the eyes

What did I hear?
what did you say?
Today, tomorrow, yesterday
is the meaning the same?

The polished figure
has practiced it well
show the allure
an image to sell

An audio byte.
The TV Set.
Night after night,
votes to get

Smiles and lies
wicked Forked tongues
poisoned verbiage
words flung

Votes to get,

Lying to you
Lying to me
only one message:
re-elect me!

I'll say what I want
a lie or the truth
ignorance what I
Want from you

Listen to none
only what I say
I'll be the one
