    Drama at Republican convention after anti-Trump effort fails

    Republican Convention: Floor Fighting on Day 1

    And so it begins... Let's see if Downtown Cleveland isn't a smoldering wasteland by July 22nd.

    Yeah, didn't take long.

    Also, the speaker line up is as frightening as it is embarrassing for all involved. Half Trump's family, 3 day time soap opera actors, a guy that runs a basement waterproofing business, a guy that makes T-shirts with "American heroes" on them, etc etc.

    No one even wants to be see hitching their wagon to the dumpster fire.

        It's too bad there's no way (or, at least, no will) to force meaningful answers to questions like "your rules said you needed seven states. You had ten, but claimed it wasn't enough. Do your own rules not matter to you, or did you just never learn to count?"
        "My in-laws are country people and at night you can hear their distinctive howl."

            I watched the whole thing..... Nothing but fear and hate. They are still parading around the Benghazi, corpses. Still spouting the same debunked lies about what happened. Having people speak about what happened who told two different official accounts when debriefed then what they told the audience. Talking about invading countries to stop ISIS forgetting thats how we got them in the first place.

            Getting pissed off because the White House no longer uses the term "Islamic Terrorists" just calling them "Terrorist". Three speakers went off on that stupid little tirade.

            I love to hear more about why I should vote GOP other than;

            -Something that happened in 2012 that every investigation said that nothing could of been done after the attack that there should of been more security.
            -A few illegal immigrants killed someone.
            -Do "Blue lives matter" or 'all lives matter"
            -Blanket statements like, "Sending the troops to go kill all terrorists"
            -And emailgazi

              You also missed the fact that trump's wife practically copied Michelle Obama's speech from 2008 DNC. She also ricked rolled everyone too.
              My facebook has been blowing up with this crap since last night.

                Bloody hell. So much lunacy, so much fear, so much anger - and there's a chance that the main loonpot is going to be elected as the commander in chief of the biggest army in the world.

                Fuck.

                  That scares the shit out of me. He will have his finger on the nuclear button. I see us heading to ww3 with him in charge. You need a leader who is cool, calm and collected. Trump is not that person.

                    Its okay. The RNC's chief strategist just crawled onto CNN and defended it by quoting Twilight Sparkle.

                    Seriously. That is a real thing. Which happened. And yes he said Twilight Sparkle. It wasn't just an unattributed quote. He got on CNN and defended plagiarism by saying there were totally other people that said similar things to Melania. One of them being Twilight Sparkle.

                      Day two turned out to be more of the same. I think they talked more about Hillary then they talked about Trump. And his family, friends and business partners were taking up quite a few speaking spots.

                      I think the 538 live feed count of mentions was Hillary 71, Trump 60

                      I think the highlight of that was this line;

                      "I am here to tell you Hillary Clinton will say anything, do anything, and be anything to get elected president, and we cannot allow it." -Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell. "

                      And I can't even help but think; Is that not what Trump does, and he does not even hide it. He will double think two opposing ideologies in a single statement.

                      But for a night that was supposed to be about jobs, I heard virtually nothing about them. Just lots of regulations are bad, taxes bad, Obamacare bad, talking points good.

                        Well, they did literally strangle a woman exercising free speech with the American flag so there's that.

                              well, I suppose the good thing is that if they continue acting like complete and utter gibbering morons, then they should face electoral annihilation come November. Voters might not always be the wisest people on earth, but there s a limit, and the republicans are reminding me of Labour before last year's election.
