Panera opens a number of "Panera Cares" stores, where they ask patrons for a "suggested donation", and there's no fixed price on the items.

My mother recently found this video about a study that proved vaccines caused Autism!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After distilling through the bullshit of said video the argument basically revolved around a study that said;

Autistic brains have more aluminum. Vaccines have aluminum in them!

So I looked up that study. First thing I look at is the summary. They got brains from the medical brain bank, and tested for things found in vaccines. And compared those numbers to what the established norms are. So red flag went off.....

Went to the methodologies section of the study. They acquired 12 samples of brain from people on the autism spectrum. And that was it.

OMFG a high school graduate knows what the problem with this is. It's so blatant that this 'study' is bullshit. From that one little fact. Its bad science used to give ammunition to a lie.

So if you haven't figured it out yet. They got 12 brain tissue samples from a brain back, of just autistic people. No healthy people, so there is no control group. They can not show that the aluminum did not come from how the tissue was preserved, stored, transported or if the testing method introduced aluminum.

The only reason this video exists is to reaffirm the beliefs of people inside of an echo chamber. "This says what I already believe, so I do not need to approach this information with any level of skepticism or critical thought."

As for anti-vaxxers, ugh. I got out of one of those discussions on another forum a couple weeks ago. After blowing up every single point of "evidence" ( fuck Natural News on a side note ) brought up I was effectively told that I would rue the day I refused to listen. They tried to warn me, and now I would face the consequences of.....not dying horribly to tetanus(?).

Car Insurance is an example of Socialism.

Every member of the Car Insurance company pays into a big pool of money. Most of them will never see a cent of that money but when one of the members needs to use the pool of money they are entitled to dip into it and do so.

Panera cares is a charity because it is the haves giving to the have nots. There are also greedy assholes that believe in capitalism and if they can take charity they will to avoid paying money out of their own pockets. Corporations are like this they threaten and whine until they get huge tax breaks not just refusing to pay their fair share for the infrastructure that allows them to continue making money in the first place but being given money you paid in to cover the cost of that infrastructure while charging you more for it.
