...I...didn't? I used the exact same link you did and can use it to disprove the exact same thing you used it to prove simply by scrolling down a bit to cherry pick whatever pollster fits my fancy. Just like you did to begin with, honestly. Sadly, polls will lean one way or the other based on the pollster.

Though the fact remains, from your own polls, that a large chunk of Americans just don't know much if anything about the topic to begin with. Which casts any other polls done on the subject in doubt.

I didn't group anyone with being a Democrat. Just because I say someone has a love-affair with Obama does mean I said that they are a Democrat. I know registered Republicans that love Obama. It's not splitting hairs when I just didn't do what you're accusing me of doing.

I'm not trying to accuse you of anything. I'm just saying that came across like you're grouping people with terms like "love-affair with Obama" in a similar way to what you vividly hate the rest of us doing to you. Bah, nevermind. I didn't form that well.

I probably shouldn't have used the term Democrat/Republican to try and make my point in retrospec. But I was at work and it was late and it was my Friday. =p

I don't like anyone in power right now, I didn't vote obama, but I am sure I am not racist (and anyone who says different I point out I voted for a black woman, just to seem smug as their brains break)

Honestly I didn't like mccain because he didn't seem like he had the temperment for the job, also pailin seemed a bit dim at best... but obama rubbed me as a used car dealer, a crooked one at that, and biden seems to have little brain to mouth filter so yeah

but I will be fair and give obama until january to prove himself and if he fails, well I get to mock everyone

and I didn't like bush either, just to cover my bases
I'm a happy, well adjusted emotinally disturbed person, who can't spell

If you're a girl (well, or a guy either for that matter), it's not hard to turn this argument back on the person saying it.

"Yeah, well you didn't vote for Sarah Palin because you're sexist."

Watch them topple over that one. At least ten minutes of entertainment.

(Not offering commentary on Palin, Obama, anyone, just sayin'. Fight fire with fire.)

Disagreeing with Obama is not racist at all. I disagree with a lot of what has been going on, even though I did vote for him. However, there seems to be something that a lot of people miss when they talk about what Obama is or is not doing. Have no idea if it is race related or not but...

The Bailout? He didn't start it. Good ol Georgy and company did that before he was in office. I absolutely HATE the thought of the bailout, but that is another subject.

Health Care Reform? Hmm lets see almost every president (or their spouse) I have rememebered talked about that. Not the least of which is ol Mrs. Clinton. Health Care reform is needed, but by golly take the 'pork axe' to it and make it SANE for pete's sake.

Yep, both sides are crooked. Any politician who gets in there, regardless of how nobel their ideas eventually learn that they won't make a bit of difference so why not take all that cold hard cash? Only way to possibly correct things is to toss lobbyist out on their ear and monitor all public office holders 24/7. Doubt that is ever going to happen. Money talks.

((Sorry I can be a bit chaotic..trying to hold down the rambling)).

Obama is not the second coming, nor is he the most evil/vile person ever. He inherited a huge mess, and is a bit inexperienced. He's going to make mistakes. Lets wait till the end of his first 4 years to break out the torches and pichforks

He didn't start it...but he continued it. Just as bad, IMHO. Sure, it caused a blip in our economy, but really wasn't worth it. Many of those companies (GM, Chrysler, etc.) should *not* have been bailed out. Letting them fail, would probably have been better. That is, letting them declare bankruptcy would have solved several problems.

They'd no longer have been hemmed in with high health care and pension costs. Why is it, that GM was paying people...who weren't working? Also, they would have been able to seriously cut costs, close duplicate facilities, and streamline things.

But, I will give the government credit...they threw Wagoner (GM's former boss, who didn't seem to understand the auto business at all) out on his ass

I don't remember where either I read it or heard it but all this calling people that disagree with Obama a racist can be a good thing in a way. Eventually the word racist will loose meaning and power. Used to be you called someone a bastard (really without looking it up how many know the definition) it would start a fight, called someone an adulterer that would start a fight. Those words have either been used to death or excused so much they've lost their power.

Being called a "bastard" has lost its value as an insult because most civilized people realize that there is no shame in being born out of wedlock.

However, civilized people realize that being racist is a shameful thing. I, for one, hope that word never loses it's power to shame those who deserve to be given the title.

I agree only racist should be called racist, that was one of the author's or speaker's (I don't remember which) arguments. After "racist" looses it power what will we call true racists?
