Authorities have discovered and stopped a plot to attack Paris Germany London and possibly other cities simultaneously.

I just don't see an end to this.Plus the Independant Irish Army have threatened the British mainland again.

I rememebr seeing that the Eiffel tower was evacuated yesterday but they didn't report why.

I'm glad it was stopped, or at least lessened.

I wonder if they ever really intended to go through with it. After all, it's easy to *pretend* you're going to blow up buildings and get everybody scared and on alert, and a lot less hassle than actually blowing yourselves up. All you have to do is make sure that, every once in a while, there's a real attack so people cannot ignore the rest.

America considers issuing alert to europe : stay away from all public places.

Well that hasn't worried me at all.

Can I use it as an excuse not to go to work on Monday? My workplace is in a public area in Europe after all.

That would be a slight over-reaction, our alert state hasn't been increased (there is one more level, and that's attack imminent) so I wouldn't worry about it.

Terror attack in UK 'highly likely', warns France France says public transport and tourist sites in the UK could be targeted by terrorists France has urged citizens travelling to Britain to be "extremely vigilant" amid raised fears of a terror attack there.

The French government said it was now "highly likely" public transport and tourist sites in the UK would be hit.

France advises that anyone traveling under these circumstances wear a good pair of running shoes and remain alert of all the convenient corners to cower in so as to be prepared. Sorry, couldn't resist .

And people over there wonder why US intelligence agencies don't agree.

Still, nothing's up and violently disassembled so I think we can call it a win, at least for now.
