I found a website that claims to have "proof" that his Hawaiian certificate was forged. The logic used is so convoluted even I can't figure it out (something to do with the certificate numbers, births per year and the phase of the moon during alternate Tuesdays)...I'm using it for a class assignment illustrating why not everything on the interwebs is valid.

And what "change" has there been?
      War still going on
Guantanimo Bay still up and running(wasn't that supposed to be gone within 60 days of his taking office?)
bailouts to the banks-with the DEMOCRATIC controlled congress vetoing the guidelines the REPUBLICANS wanted to put on the money-as in not to be used for salaries or bonuses-Democrats voted that down because "then they wouldn't take the money if we told them what they couldn't use it for."

The debt now stands at $12.6 trillion. On the day Mr. Obama took office it was $10.6 trillion.

President George W. Bush still holds the record for the most debt run up on his watch: $4.9 trillion. But it took him over four years to rack up the first two trillion dollars in debt. It has taken Mr. Obama 421 days.

      well I guess that's change....

        One moment, please...
This was a case of knowing public opinion. Obama knew that if the Dem congress had repealed DADT, it would hurt them in 2010 (moreso than doing nothing)
How do you figure that? OK, so I tend to be an idiot politically, but how does passing something that something like 3/4 of the public is in favor of hurt your chances at the polls more than not passing it does?

          This just in:

IT TAKES MORE THAN TWO DAYS FOR THE ORDER TO MAKE IT ALL THE WAY THROUGH THE RANKS TO RECRUITERS.

That article blew a single recruiter who hadn't been informed of the new policy WAY the hell out of proportion.

There are more than two choices. Or there would be if people were willing to look a bit more outside the box.

We had a thread on the housing crash-and that our former Republican President-George W Bush wanted oversight in some manner for the laws Passed by *Democrat* William J Clinton that said banks HAD to make x number of loans per year to sub-prime borrowers or be fined heavily-and the *democratic* senate finance committee run by *Democrat* Nancy Pelosi blocked it at least 17 TIMES!

How is that not the Democrats fault?
Seems like there's enough blame to go around on that one; after all, though Clinton signed the thing, was it not a Republican Congress that passed it?

I'd still love to hear the reasoning, if any, behind
This was a case of knowing public opinion. Obama knew that if the Dem congress had repealed DADT, it would hurt them in 2010 (moreso than doing nothing)
as it makes no sense on its face. the vast majority of every poll, including even, in some of them, a majority of Republicans, wants DADT gone. How could passing a repeal possibly be more harmful politically than not passing it?

Not really a credible source, but I thought it was kinda funny given this thread.

I don't love OR hate Obanma. I just don't see how difficult it is to like some of the things a candidate or elected official does, but not all of them. Why do people have to love Obama and hate McCain, or desperately want McCain and despise Obama? No one realizes that middle ground still exists. No, I don't approve of everything our President does, but I think McCain would have done an awful lot of things I'd have hated. As for Congress, yeah, the Democrats suck. But the Republicans suck worse, and the solution for "the Democrats suck" need not be "fill it full of Republicans again".

Back to the main topic: NO. No no no, a thousand times no. Of COURSE the cerrtificate wasn't good enough. Greenday said it. Until it provides the answer they want, nothing will be good enough. Obama IS NOT eligible to be our President, they are 150% certain of that. He shows us a birth certificate? Forged. No matter what he pulls out, if it doesn't prove this "fact", someone tampered with it. Grasping at straws, indeed. The DNA test idea, though, is beyond stupid; there is absolutely zero connection between his racial makeup and whether he meets the criteria for being President. This only tells me they've completely run out of things to demand as proof, and are now resorting to pulling random crap out of a bag, throwing it in his general direction, and hoping something sticks. Me? I believe he's legally eligible. But that's just my belief. Honestly, though, I don't believe the birthers' motivation is simply a belief that he's not eligible; they don't like him and never will, and are determined to find a way - ANY way - to get him thrown out of office.

Incidentally, I also believe he's Christian. Yes, he totally attended a Christian church for years and years, plotting for the inevitable day he could run for President, just to sneak in and push his "terrorist" ways. Bull SHIT that's true. I might be a bit harsh here, but... You believe that? Buy out the entire stock of your local gun stores, build a compound up in the hills and store food like there's no tomorrow. Secret 'towelheads'** are around every corner, and they're out to get you! Better hide! *rolleyes* Some people are just that crazy.

**Note to anyone who actually believes the first half of the preceeding paragraph: those guys who wear turbans? Usually drive taxicabs? Those are SEIKHS. Seiks are NOT Muslims. Just FYI. Completely different - and 100% unrelated to terrorism. At least Muslims share a name-of-faith with the crazy fucktards who go apeshit with the Muslim faith and think it tells them to go blow stuff up. Just as I, as a Christian, share the same faith - in name only - with those batshit-insane buggers at Westboro Baptist running their ultra-extreme Calvinist thing.

/skunk rant mode OFF. Time for bed.
