    I guess nothing, unless you're a claustrophobe who doesn't like a lot of loud noises. (3:30 is when schools are getting out. I had to wade through a mob of 7 year olds and their EW parents to get to the polls.)

      My county is absentee voting only. Actually, I think there's only two counties in my state that still have physical polling places.

      I don't see the big deal with waiting. It's not like they're going into office immediately or anything. The wait just doesn't bother me.

        Ugh, I can understand why you’d want to avoid the mob of little ones. I’ve got to ask what part of the country are you in? In MD all the schools are closed for election day so the schools are blissfully empty of kids. Going to vote just made me nostalgic seeing all the little chairs lined up against the gym/cafeteria wall.

          Personally I think a state issued ID should be the minimum in all states.
          That's how it was when I voted too. Glad I had my DL, since I lost my renewed regristration card.
