Another article from the news publication "No shit, really?"
Are they the actual ones who decided that people have to be body scanned, or was it the security folk at the EU parliament? The article doesn't state either way.

Reclaiming words is fun!
Maybe the members who claimed it was a breach of their privacy had voted against it.
Violence has resolved more conflicts than anything else. The contrary opinion that violence doesn't solve anything is merely wishful thinking at its worst. - Starship Troopers
Was it even voted on by them? Doesn't say either way, or it didn't on the scan-through I made.

The article didn't mention it.

Did THEY decide it, personally, or at least vote for it? Because otherwise it doesn't seem that hypocritical if they weren't a part of the vote or anything.

Maybe you posted the wrong article, because it's stating that
A: The MEP lobbied for years AGAINST body scanners, and
B: Even if they were for it, the current body scanners they have are nearly a decade old and never been used, and was a huge waste of money.
Nothing about people that voted to have them are now suddenly against them when used on them. At all.

I AM THE MAN of the house! I wear the pants!!! But uh...my wife buys the pants so....yeah.
Did you post the wrong link or something? I mean, to me it looks like politicians who voted AGAINST it say its an invasion of privacy, which is pretty consistent.
Maybe you had multiple tabs open on the subject or something. Happens to me all the time. Once I posted one of my porn stories to a debate site. >_>

See, you can just pull the "I'm just fucking with ya" excuse when you do a porn story.

Yeah, sorry it was a bit unclear because there's backstory missing.
Some MEPs have been lobbying hard for the scanners to be used at airports and other places (like train stations), but, as in the story I posted, are dead set against having to use them themselves.
Indeed there is back story missing, because it's nowhere in the article you posted. In fact, in the article you posted, they've been dead set against it from the start.

Some have, but not the ones in that article...
I think you've got the wrong article, you should check your link again.
