He added: "It is rather amazing that all of a sudden it materializes."
And this one broke my brain. It didn't suddenly materialize, he showed because he got fed up with you fucking lunatics screaming for it and decided to SHUT YOU UP about it!

Clearly it didn't work, and personally, I think a .50 -cal would be more effective.

Trump told the press, Obama "was a terrible student when he went to Occidental [College]. He then gets to Columbia. He then gets to Harvard." "why doesn't he release his school records?"
Hey trump! Your "shock an awe" glory boy of the last president was an abysmal failure in school throughout his life! Why don't you retroactively impeach him? Oh that's right, it's because he's a republican and gave you a massive tax break.

hmm considering the only things George HW Bush had done by the time George W Bush entered college was nothing.

        nice try.

George HW Bush did not enter politics(or do anything noteworthy aside from serving in WWII) until January 3, 1967, George W Bush entered Yale in fall of 1964 and graduated with a BA in spring of 1968. He was at Harvard for his MBA in 1973 to 1975.

H.W. Bush was the president of a popular fraternity, captain of the baseball team, and a member of Skull and Bones. Then he became a millionaire in the oil business.

I didn't say they let W in because his Daddy was in politics, I said they let him in because his Daddy was important. In most colleges, and moreso in the Ivy League, rich alums can get all the progeny they want admitted.

Wow. Are you honestly trying to say that George HW Bush was a complete nobody in 1964?

By that point the man was already a millionaire. Anyone who thinks anyone who was a millionaire in 1964 wasn't considered "important" is a fool.

Besides, the biggest influence on who gets into what school is whether your parents went to that same school and what do you know... Jr got into the same prestigious university that Sr attended.

as some of you have already pontificated, if the current Pres was an old white male the Birth Certificiate issue (or NOW the college grade thing) would NEVER have come up

Balcks see racism in birther question

              Best quote from the article:
Many African-Americans responded to Wednesday's scene with a large sigh. The rumors and the controversy had a particular, troubling resonance for them: They've seen, heard, lived, the legitimacy of black people being called into question so many times before that, they said, they weren't shocked to see it happen to Obama over something as simple as a birth certificate.

But they were sad about it, too, seeing what they felt was a high-level manifestation of the idea that when a black person accomplishes something great there must be something wrong.
One of the best comments I saw:
I know it's hard, but out wait them. The old, frightened, insecure white people are dying off. Fewer and fewer young people are being infected with the disgusting mental illness of their elders. Racism will never be completely gone because there will always be those with the victim mentality that need someone, anyone to blame their failures on, but that street goes all ways and no race is completely free of it. Things never change as quickly as we would want them to unfortunately, but change they do. Progress can not be stopped, the genie can not be stuffed back in the bottle. This too shall be overcome. I find it in my heart to pity people that are so scared and insecure about themselves, but I won't miss them when they are gone.
I'm lost without a paddle and I'm headed up sh*t creek.

I got one foot on a banana peel and the other in the Twilight Zone.

All of this stupidity could have easily been killed...had Obama simply coughed it up back in 2008...when Hillary's (not McCain's) campaign pressed the issue. Instead, he chose to ignore it. That's why these idiots think "Hey, he has to be hiding something--what else is being 'covered up?'" I don't like Obama, nor do I agree with his policies. But, this shit has gone long enough. All this shit is doing, is distracting us from the real issues. You know, Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, the economy, jobs, our mounting deficit, etc. And no, I will *not* be voting for Trump

But he shouldn't have needed to produce his long form birth certificate in the first place. The short form has been on file for a while, and everyone just decided it wasn't good enough. Why should the black guy have to show his papers? I don't remember any president in the time I've been alive having to produce his birth certificate.

                    1. His father was born in Kenya.

                    2. If President Obama was born outside of the country to one parent who wasn't an American Citizen, it means Obama isn't eligible to be president as a contender to the title of President either has to be born in America, or if born in a foreign country, both parents have to be American Citizens

                    3. One of Obama's Kenyan relatives said he was born in Kenya.

                    4. There was talk (and supposedly an "actual") of a Kenyan birth certificate.

I am in no way shape or form saying these are good enough reasons to go after President Obama and try to have him declared an illegitimate President, but for some of those out there, it seems to be.

Plus, wasn't there a poll out recently which purported only 38% of the respondents believed Obama was an American Citizen?

But as someone said earlier, if Obama had made the long form available when it was brought up 3 years ago, this would have been a moot point.

What amuses me about this whole affair is that people are apparently more worried about his birthplace than whether or not he's competent. When he's proved to be of acceptable birthplace, they go on about his competence.

Heh. Priorities, folks. Sure, it's your constitutional law, but sometimes you've got to work with what's best.

That's just one section of US Code (1401c) that defines a natural born citizen of the United States. However, 1401g states:

                        (g) a person born outside the geographical limits of the United States and its outlying possessions of parents one of whom is an alien, and the other a citizen of the United States who, prior to the birth of such person, was physically present in the United States or its outlying possessions for a period or periods totaling not less than five years, at least two of which were after attaining the age of fourteen years
According to 1401g, even if Obama was born outside of the US, as long as one parent was a citizen and had spent at least 5 cumulative years in the US prior to his birth, he's still considered a natural born citizen, and thus eligible for the presidency. Unless of course the birthers are actually doubting his parentage, or his mother's citizenship, or that she hadn't spent 5 years in the US before he was born.

And when you compared it to actual Kenyan birth certificates, it was extremely obvious that it was a fake.

It should never have been a point in the first place. I'd have refused, too.
