  • The "Donald"

wants to try and run again for the US Presidency.

while working I was listening to NPRs On Point Program and they devoted a whole hour to this subject

    OK

does anyone think he might have a chance?
does anyone whose worth is less than 6 or 7 Billionreally think that Ol Donald would make a good Pres?
will all his financial dealing stand up to complete transparancy?
will his 2 divorces and 3 bankrupties count against him?
will his flip-flopping positions make him a target?
is he doing this just for the publicity?
will the Trump "brand" recognition make a difference? and by brand I mean the hotels, the property, the dolls, the TV show, etc.
is this just a slow news season ie. Easter?

will this truely make the US Federal government a "slave" to business?
I'm lost without a paddle and I'm headed up sh*t creek.

I got one foot on a banana peel and the other in the Twilight Zone.

    No
    No
    No
    Yes
    Yes
    Yes
    Yes
    Yes
    Yes

Basically, no, he won't be running for president. While many people see him as a successful businessman, there are plenty who also remember that he's ruined companies before too. His morals are questionable. He's dumb enough to publicly state that he thinks Obama wasn't born in America.

I'd do a better job than him.

The man started with everything he could possibly need to be a successful businessman, and then systematically run every business he's every owned straight into the ground.

Add in that he's into the birther nuttery as well as a few other choice lunatic fringe positions, and you've got a recipe for someone who stands no chance at all of even making it past the primaries.

So wait a minute, he's actually going to try to run this time? Not make the claim to trump up (pun not intended) his stupid reality show this time?

I ask because his last claim that he was doing so lasted roughly 12 seconds and was to get people watching The Apprentice.

I'd rather vote for Donald Duck.

Given the way the copyright laws are extended everytime Mousecorp's (tm) rights are approaching deadline, I think that's slightly more likely that one would want to think

As much as I love some of the buildings he's put up, and agree with some of his ideas, such as not giving his kids a job at one of his companies unless they really wanted it, and had the skills to do it (unlike so many boss's kids who got their jobs despite being total idiots), I have lost a lot of what respect I had for him since this whole thing started.

First of all, aligning himself with the birthers and the tea party. WTF?
Second, him going on about "I'm Christian and Pro-life. Again, WTF? He's never publicly shown much of an interest in religion, or expressed religious beliefs before, now he's going on like this? Puh-lease! A lot of the conservative Christian sects he's trying to pander to wouldn't accept him anyway because of the multiple divorces and remarriages alone, because according to their beliefs, divorce is a no-no, and remarrying after a divorce is also a no-no. (Seriously, some churches consider remarrying after a divorce to be akin to adultery, because they do not recognize the divorce as valid)
At least George W's religious beliefs were sincere- he made no bones about the fact that he was a religious man, it was part of his character. Not something he suddenly whipped out as a pandering device.
And third- his comment about having a great relationship with "The Blacks". Even "The Black community" would have sounded better, and a lot less like "You people", as one black commentator put it. I find myself wondering- on what basis does he claim a relationship with the black community? Has he done anything to help traditionally black neighborhoods in NYC?

Let me put it this way. I don't care who is running for president. So long as I can sell newspapers on Ebay for twice what I bought them for I'm good.

Inauguration Edition of the Burlington Free Press: 75 cents.
                Listing on Ebay: 20 cents.
                Customer paid: 20$

Wishing you had thought to buy twice as many copies of the paper: Priceless.
Somethings in life money can't buy. For everything else, there's the possibilty of either another ethnic minority, a woman, or Donald Trump getting elected. And then, I can pay off my Mastercard.

I disagree. I think whoever comes out of those primaries WILL be a birther because almost all the leading GOP candidates for 2012 are.

                  Kinda scary huh?

But didn't you hear? Beck has now told everyone that Huckabee is a PROGRESSIVE.
If Huckabee's a progressive, I wonder <insert conspiracy voice here> if he's being controlled by the great liberal puppet master....SOROS!!!!! Huckabee MUST be a deep-cover liberal.

I think this will be another election in which I will NOT vote.

You can't possibly do any worse than the current candidates.
