perhaps a flash mob is in order, have alot of new born babies handed to picketers and the parents just walk away with little notes attatched saying "I would have been aborted now I am an abandoned baby, thank you fucko"

Although real babies might be pushing it even if the mothers pick them up after the stunt as someone would say "child abandonment" or some such, but I guess you could get a volume discount on the latest in the line of betsie wetsie

So I guess oral sex is out of the question for me and Bill as the best way to not have kids but still have fun?
"I like him aunt Sarah, he's got a pretty shield. It's got a star on it!"

Medieval times, hell. Try the 50's. The pill didn't come around until the 70's. And for a long time, it was illegal to sell, advertise, or even PUBLICLY DISCUSS contraception. It was called the Comstock Law.

This so-called Personhood Bill came up for a vote in Alabama. It would have changed the definition of "person" in EVERY LAW ON THE BOOKS. Every. Single. Law. Would be redefined to include zygotes and fertilized eggs as full people. Thank the goddess that didn't pass.

Do you have to sue the parents of a minor instead of a minor, because if so, she better wait till the kid is 18

redefine life as beginning at the moment of fertilization
If this is what goes through law then I see a little bit of a road block (not that they won't try, I'm sure) towards getting all birth control (including permanent forms in this as well). If it prevents the fertilization then it prevents the life from beginning because up until the egg is fertilized, it hasn't begun it's "life". Meaning this kind of thing would have no say over people who were having things removed or snipped or anything. Again, not saying that these people wouldn't like to get rid of that stuff too but defining it as not until the egg is fertilized gives them a bit of a road block. It doesn't take away the danger and issue of this law though.

“Certainly women, my wife included, would want to know if the pills they’re taking would kill a unique human individual. And I think there’s a lot of misinformation about that, or lack of information.”
Jumping from lack of information to making it illegal is pretty huge. Shouldn't we instead just make people informed consumers? I also find it interesting that his quote makes it sound like his wife is on the pill unless I'm understanding wrong...

If history is any indication, the state would much rather just pass a law and make something illegal than try to inform the populace. For one, making things illegal is an easy money maker when you start fining people for doing what's been outlawed, and making something illegal takes no effort. On the other hand, educating people takes time, effort, and costs money. Plus, educated people are less likely to put up with bureaucratic bullshit, and they sure as hell want to avoid that.

And since expecting people to even listen when they are educated is also silly, they decide no one gets to Unfortunately that sounds exactly like how a lot of states like to handle things.

                    Hahahaha!

As a Catholic, I concur with this statement. And find it hilarious. Oi.

I'm going to heck in a hand basket, aren't I?

How about we find a way to implant working uteruses (uterii?) into men and then see how quickly the abortion laws are repealed.

at Raps. Ah! Come on! It might be fun for you and other males to really learn how the other half live!

But yeah ... I don't understand anti-abortion groups and the fanatics. But then again, I don't understand fanatics in general. No matter what they're fanatic about.

I have nothing else to say about the topic so I'll just shut my mouth (momentarily ).

I was once given the 'If only you knew' comment.

My response of, 'If only I cared' didn't go down too well.

Meh - single, no intent of changing this status, and male. It's really not an issue for me. I keep a stock of ibuprofen around in case my sinuses decide to crawl out the front of my face, and some of the ladies know I'm quite willing to dispense, but there's really no way in which I'm affected.

unfortuneately Rum I have a great propentsity for kidney stones (I tend to grow boulders not small little grains of sand). and having one that is unpassable is not fun either. constant pain and too much pain and puking on a regular basis. not fun

I do know in principle what it feels like esp when passing said boulders (and that takes 3 months from kidney to out)
I'm lost without a paddle and I'm headed up sh*t creek.

I got one foot on a banana peel and the other in the Twilight Zone.

How about all these anti-abortion males get grafted with a uterus?

Eh, it wouldn't do any good. After all, many leaders of the anti-abortion movement are women.
