    The GOP On Science

Well, if you weren't scared yet >.>

I seriously can't even fanthom those viewpoints. With the exception of Huntsman ( Who doesn't have a hope in Hell ) they range from ignorance to flat out lunancy.

It disturbs me that these people are considered leaders in any capacity.

And thousands of people honestly believe that that crew has what it takes to run things.

    >_<

Well, as you said, Huntsman gets a pass on those particular issues for being capable of rational thought and trusting that the world's scientists really aren't lying to us about the way things work.

Some of the others on the evolution side weren't so bad, much as I hate to agree with Gingrich even on whether the sun rises in the morning.

Yeah, Gingrich wasn't so terrible on evolution. But he's so out there on so many other things that it doesn't really matter.

I don't think Gingrich is as beholden to the religious chunk of the right as some of the others. Nor do I think he believes he needs to aim messages at him, since they'll vote for him if it comes down to him or Obama. Therefore, he can pretty much say what he wants in that regard.

And I love that picture of Perry they used. If he doesn't look batshit crazy in that......

Because of ignoramuses like them (except for Huntsman) we have yet to get something done about Global Warming and also we've been hampered on stem cell research.

The debate was pretty scary. Huntmans comments went over like a fart at a funeral. But Perry's executing 200+ people in Texas got the biggest round of applause of the night. Even Brian Willams was kind of looking around like "Wait, what the hell?".

The Party of Lincoln and Teddy Roosevelt (hell even Reagan and Nixon) has degenerated to this.

Don't forget that one of those executed has been proven innocent. Not that Perry has allowed that to be officially declared... if he ever will. >_<

Yeah well, when you're on a murder spree, sometimes you don't stop and select your victims carefully.

I'm pretty sure Perry's perspective is more like "Booyah! High score!".

careful selection implies a rational thought process...
