To all of the people who say "I don't want to pay for women to have sex!" (I'm looking at you, Limbaugh), my response is that what you're really paying for is for them to be safe while having the sex they were going to be having anyway.

I wonder how many of those idiot talking heads waited until they were married to have sex, and only, and I mean ONLY, had sex in the hopes of having a baby, and did not have sex again until they wanted another child, and another, and another.
I mean, after all, a menstrual period is considered an abortion nowadays, isn't it?

So, either pay for an ounce of prevention, or pay for several tons of care.

Enough of that and you end up with a revolution, 'cause the ones that got theirs are massively outnumbered by the ones that don't.

If BC was more cost effective and didn't cost an arm and a leg (which, by the way, it only costs a fortune because the companies know they can charge whatever the fuck they want and make tons of profit), then women wouldn't be so desperate for it to be covered by health insurance. If women in the lower economic areas have to choose between a week's worth of food or a month's supply of birth control, they're most likely going to pass up the BC. Then, since they're human and have human urges, they might still continue having sex and take a chance.
Is it a bad idea to have sex without BC? Hell yes. Does it happen anyway? Unfortunately, yes. Then, if a child does come out of it, society has to worry about it. Remember, a child can grow into a desperate (and stupid) adult who thinks robbing the liquor store is a great way to get extra money.
While condoms are a great preventative for pregnancy, it's nice to have a backup. Unfortunately, the backup is fucking expensive and no one wants to pay for it. Personally, I'd rather pay a few extra dollars a month toward BC for the masses than pay to take care of children who are poor and unwanted.Last edited by Seifer; 04-24-2012, 04:11 AM.

Let BigPharma sell it for $200 and let BigProvider deny coverage. You've got 2 lobbyists making money instead of just 1.Some People Are Alive Only Because It's Illegal To Kill Them.
