WHO built the most expensive house in America will:fire ALL his employees if Obama wins the election.

and the even sends out a letter to that effect to ALL employees. BUT wait there is more. He basically plargerized the letter from a letter sent out back in 2008. The guy can't even write his own stuff.

He should be thrown in jail for trying to rig the election.

I respectfully disagree. I feel he should have all of his money taken away, split up between the people who use fratching and he should be forced to live in poverty. Im good with a couple hundred thousand. You all can have the rest.

Can you say: Hello major unlawful termination class lawsuit?! Heck, he even provides the evidence himself!

Morally awful and against the spirit of the law, but he's not technically telling people they must *vote* a certain way to keep their jobs. If he's being honest, 100% of them could vote for Romney and still get fired (or the other way around) because they're not a significant enough portion of the population.

My mistake. For some reason I put fired instead of jailed.

The guy is saying that he thinks POTUS will continue to create an environment that makes his type of business difficult to impossible. He's encouraging his employees to vote or Romney because he thinks the business environment will be better. If POTUS wins then he just might close up shop and take his toys and go home. He's not threated their jobs other than saying POTUS might make it impossible for him to stay in business. The employees still have the right to vote how they choose. He also has the right to stay in business or not regardless of whom is POTUS.

but see doing stuff like this in the PUBLI'C's eye may backfire as:Obama bashing by the zillionairs just pisses off regular people who are already distrustful of the uber wealthy, big business and Wall Street

The thing that pisses me off about guys like this is that they have been able to cost off the fact that a good chunk of their income is investment income and therefore gets treated way more favorably than people who have to earn a paycheck. I mean it would be nice if my company would say that my paycheck is "capital gains" so that it could be taxed at the 15% rate instead of the rate it is taxed it. It would also help out because then I wouldn't see payroll taxes sucked out of my income as well. So now that particular gravy train may end, he's gonna take his ball and go home. Quite honestly, I hope he goes to the Caribbean and gets pirated.....

I don't know what you do for a living or how much you make but odds are good that you fall into the 10% bracket like the majority that pay federal income tax. Now your income is also subject to FICA, Medicare, unemployment, state, local and no telling what other taxes, where investment (or unearned) isn't. (Something to keep in mind, if the Bush taxes cuts are not sustained you'll have to pay that 15% in federal income taxes.)
I know of some folks that pay no income taxes what so ever as all their income comes from investments. Those same folks have drastically had to cut back on their lifestyles due to the current economy. All of those folks earned the money and paid income taxes on it, took a chance on loosing it all and invested it hoping for a return. Isn't having your money working for you instead or you working for your money something to aspire to??? It's the very few that live the extravagant live styles most live a very modest life. My Mom is a prime example, to hear her talk she's just a step from the poor house and lives like that's true.

Wouldn't that be considered somehow illegal? He's inadvertently encouraging his employees to vote against Obama so they can keep their jobs.

The letter is repugnant, to be sure, but it's not quite against the law.

                            10%? I wish.

The incentives of investments shouldn't be to pay a lower tax rate. The incentive should be their return. But in the case of hedge fund managers and few others we've turned basically a guaranteed income stream into treatment like money that is actually risked.
