Most of the other polls show Obama ahead so *shrugs*...we shall see what we see when we see what we see.

I watched the debate. I don't feel like typing a long thing about it this time around like last time, but basically, I thought Obama crushed Romney, especially when the Libya thing came up. Man, the look Obama gave Romney when he said his remarks were offensive was literally chill inducing, and when Romney thought that he had caught Obama in a lie and looked all smug and Obama just said "Please proceed, Governor"...that was like something out of a movie. I literally laughed out loud through that entire sequence because of how ridiculous it was.

Obama was definitely on top of his game this time around.

Yeah, bit of a pro-top to Romney there. If you think you've got the President on the ropes and he just smiles and says "Please proceed" its probably a trap.

The weird part all of this is Romney acted the same here as he did in the first debate ( Disrespectful lying asshole that won't shut up ). The only difference was this time people told him to shut the fuck up when it wasn't his turn to speak. And he can't STAND that.

He's so use to everyone saying yes to him and having to listen to what he says that it drives him insane. He can't NOT get the last word in so he acts like a total asshole when he's not allowed to have his way. It was very smart of Obama to wait until the closing comments to bring up the 47% thing. When Romney would have no chance to respond without breaking every rule for the debate and coming across like an even bigger prick.

The part that baffles me is there are still undecided voters. How much of a fucking idiot do you have to be to be undecided at this point? They were talking to that teacher that asked the question that led to "Binders Full of Woman(tm)". Even after the debate she's STILL undecided.

And you're a god damn teacher? I weep for America's education system. >.>

He's not Obama. That's what this election seems to be about...

I was recently eating a burger and fries with my Dad, Sister, and Nephew, who is in first grade. Nephew was complaining about the food in the cafeteria - only low fat milk (white, not chocolate), no real fries, only sweet potato fries, lots of mushy vegetables, etc. Sister was complaining that the food was so gross that none of the kids were eating it, and therefore coming home hungry. Dad humphed and said, "Well, that's all Mrs. Obama's fault, they just think they know what's best for everybody..." And so on.

People like my Dad see these government programs, such as restricting school lunches, as intrusions on our personal choices. We all may go to hell in a handbasket with Romney, but at least it will be of our own doing, and not the governments. Or something like that. Trying to understand that kind of logic makes my head hurt.

But, for the record, I would have died of thirst before drinking white milk. Ugh.

I was referring to the recent Gallup poll that showed Romney up 54%-45%. I think it's being called into question, though.

In any sense, Obama still leads in the electoral college. We may have a repeat of 2000, where one candidate loses the popular vote but wins the electoral college.

I didn't see the debate live, but watched it the next day on YouTube. Every time Romney whined about answering a question or who's turn it was to go first, i thought of this scene from the Southpark movie
Some People Are Alive Only Because It's Illegal To Kill Them.

Might that not depend on why you're undecided? The only undecided voter I've talked with about this was very firmly on the Republican side until recently, but has been shifting the more he sees of their candidates.

I'll be glad when it's all over. I'm tired of hearing about it, trying to sort out the misinformation campaigns by groups on *both* sides, and being subjected to 9 hours of politics at work on CNBC

And how much of that is really Obama's doing? FOX news tends to take anything Obama does and make it about "personal freedom". Heck, any law passed to protect people that fundamentalist Christians don't like is seen as an attack on their religion.

It's gotten to the point where I take everything the far right says with a grain of salt.
