  • Is anyone here voting for Romney?

I'd vote for Obama if I lived in the US but I'm curious if anyone is voting Romney and why?

  • #2
I know a few people voting for Romney. Mainly just because he's Republican. They really haven't come up with proof as to why Obama is so bad.

I'm curious as to why you say "of course". Also, why? What are your reasons?

Absolutely not. I refuse to vote for anyone whose party line is to treat me like a second class citizen because I have a small bank account and a uterus. I'm a human, not a brood mare and my brokeness causes issues to no one but me.

I must admit it worries me greatly that *anyone* would make that statement with such a matter of fact "of course". I'm really glad I'm not American. You people must be on the verge of a stroke at this point.

A lot of people I know who are Romney supporters don't care what people from other countries think because they think we are so superior to you all.

I only care about what people from other countries think in that I care about the safety and security of my friends currently scattered all over Europe and Asia right now. As my friend currently in Germany said, "Think of the Ex-Pats - Vote Obama!"

The excuses--- I mean REASONS I've heard is that he "knows economy better than Obama" and that he'll "fix the economy."

Of course, that's complete BULL considering his work in Bain Capital and his past record as governor of Massachusetts. During his term, Massachusetts dropped down to the bottom of the barrel in terms of job creation and employment, and as soon as a more lucrative chair opened up elsewhere - BAM! - he was gone.

He'll fix the economy!!! The economy of his own wallet.

More or less horrified than when Sarah Palin was considered a serious candidate?

Probably about the same, the view here is pretty much wondering how people like that even managed to get to a position where they were a candidate.

As the standing joke in my house goes, if Romney wins, how many states will secede and vonunteer for annexation to Canada to avoid his policies?

I'd go on a "finding myself" mission to the UK for four years.

I'd say, mostly seriously, that the states west of the Rockies could probably secede from the US and be self-supporting, and if the shit hit the fan at the National level, that's what I'd be angling for. Between southern California, Washington, and Nevada, we'd be a pretty powerful nation on our own.
