On the bus ride home from school, one student pulled a loaded gun on another student and threatened to shoot him over a disagreement that student had with his friend. Three kids grabbed him and disarmed him. The next day, the three heroes were suspended from school for being involved with a gun incident.
The kid who had the gun was only charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon "without intent" to kill. I guess threatening to shoot someone with a gun point blank to their head doesn't include intent to kill someone.
Violence has resolved more conflicts than anything else. The contrary opinion that violence doesn't solve anything is merely wishful thinking at its worst. - Starship Troopers
Guns are effing dangerous. There's really no debate on that. People who would use them so willy-nilly without a second thought really should not be allowed to carry them at all.
Well, on the bright side . . . this numbwit probably won't be allowed to carry his anymore. Since it's evidence of a criminal act, it won't be returned to him and will be destroyed, along with his CCW permit.

Ugh. That's just insane! There was no "emergency" reason to suspend these students; the principal had all the time in the world to investigate . . . by reading the fucking police report!
This "zero tolerance" BS strikes again! I'm glad I don't have kids . . . I would have to home school them to keep them away from the unbelievably stupid people who run our public schools.
Good news! Your insurance company says they'll cover you. Unfortunately, they also say it will be with dirt.

And I find myself yet again saying "blow the state off the continent at the border and hope it floats off."
