Woohoo!!! President-elect Obama! Music to my ears!

But what's with all the kahilkers calling in and saying, "Uh-hyuk, ah voted for Senator McCain, because Barack Obama wasn't even born in this country, and according to the Constitution, that's illegal."* WTF??? Dumbasses - he was born in Hawaii!

    *Or, alternately, "I don't feel good that Obama's a Muslim." - He's not!

    Pfft

They are just too cowardly to say they don't want a Black president. I don't care WHAT color he is. Just keep me off the unemployment line.

I have a few friends that either supported McCain or a third party, and their reasonings are actually their respective candidates' politics, not Pres-elect Obama's color.

Then again, there might be a few people who aren't aware Hawaii is part of the US Where did I read a story where someone didn't know New England was a region of the US, haha.

I'm pretty happy with the election outcome, my other problem is be restraining myself from reading too many message boards when I'm at work.

I got all kinds of e-mails stating similar things. Right, let's use a little reason here?
        1. I would think the Democratic Party would've researched Obama's credentials (including where he was born) quite thoroughly before letting him run. Who wants to spend time and beaucoup bucks on a candidate and then discover he/she isn't qualified?!
        2. Obama has stated, more than once, that he is a Christian. Yes, he does has Muslim ancestors. Big deal. Many of my ancestors were pagans, but I'm still a Christian. It's what you are here and now that counts, not your ancestors.

Do the research before you state what you think is fact. Otherwise, you look like an ignorant schmuck and your plans backfire spectacularly.

There are people who think New Mexico is a different country, too! Some folks just aren't very bright, and are quite happy to let it be known.

That's because we have too many idiots in this country. Nobody has the balls to say "look you fucking moron..." No, instead they get passed to the next grade, or promoted to higher management.

That's right, they ARE morons, and they're just doing the "sour grapes" routine because their candidate lost.

If they want to be precise about it, President-Elect Obama is, in fact, biracial. His father was a native Kenyan, his mother was caucasian.

Sadly, in this day and time, we still have ignorami who can't get anything right just to make themselves look more important.

                Major fail in my book.

But I do agree with you: I don't care what color skin the President has. If he's willing to help us make things better and bring more jobs for us, then I'll vote for him or her.

                Oh wait, I did.

I seem to remember a certain party doing this for the last two elections-claiming it was "rigged" or voters were turned away, accusations of voter fraud etc. So does that mean those people were morons as well?

or is it just the ones you don't agree with?

Now, I'm not saying this to be a marauding bitch, I promise, I'm just pointing out what's out there that I've heard on the subject, which is probably what other people have heard.

Which I think is mostly summed up here.

                    http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=S_i8NHifI1g

I'm not saying I believe or disbelieve. However, a certification of live birth is NOT a birth certificate. I don't entirely understand the difference myself, unless it's something like the difference between long form certificates and short forms. But I know that there are various private entities, like Little Leagues and newspapers (mine included), that won't accept a certification of live birth in the place of a birth certificate unless it's sent directly from the hospital.

Again, like I said, just pointing out what people might be hearing and speaking on. I personally don't think that even if this stuff DOES turn out to be true, that it'll change anything at this point.

Could it be that, oh, just maybe...IT WAS RIGGED??

Hell, we had people losing their votes in this election because they lost their homes, thanks to a certain other party's dirty-dealings.

They can choke on their sour grapes as far as I'm concerned. Doesn't feel so good when it's your back that the knife's sticking out of, does it?

You know, I don't remember where...I want to say it was Snopes.com but I can't recall...I saw something that basically said "If the recount in Florida had been done the way Bush's side wanted, Gore would have won. If it had been done the way Gore's side wanted, Bush would have won". Or something to that paraphrase. I remember being amused by it, though.
