          That's not true at all. We had a governor who was in the closet. He was married, had kids. But he was gay. The family was just for appearances.

                  Ehn, not exactly new. Well, maybe the bit with Kal Penn...but I've been hearing this about Obama since he was first elected. I don't buy it, but even if he was, I wouldn't care.

                  And there are plenty of gay people who have spouses and families- that doesn't make them bisexual. Most of them are pressured into it by their own family and churches, or told that if they just get married to a good person of the opposite gender, their homosexuality will be cured. Doesn't work, just ends up damaging a lot more lives when the parties involved REALIZE it doesn't work.

                    Same with the Muslim thing. Though the expiration date on "gay" as a slur seems to be nearer.

                        I thought so. I was living in NJ (Exit 74) when he came out and it was pretty big news. Even one of the JibJab.com cartoons poked fun at him for it.

It was Project Runway's Tim Gunn holding up a sign saying something to the effect of "people think that homosexuality is destroying the fabric of our society. Do they really think that homosexuals would do anything to harm fabric?"
