  • Dirty money helped Obama's Inauguration?

According to the (Washington) DC Examiner, the inaugural committee for President Obama accepted the maximum donation ($50,000) to help fund the inauguration for President Obama.

The questionable sources of the money were from people like Michelle Lerach who is the wife of a man who went to prison in 2008 for a major kickback scheme that had gone on for 3 decades. Also, they accepted money from George Soros who has been convicted in a European insider trading case. There are a few others.

Should the inaugural committee or even President Obama give the money back to these people?

    What are y'all's thoughts?

Had the money gone to the campaign fund, the one for the election, then definitely. Can't have possibly tainted money financing an election campaign.

Since the election's over, I'm sort of in two minds. To one side, you've got the fact that it won't make any difference to the election. The other part is how much influence this will give to known crooks over the POTUS.
