The writers of the play, and subsequently, the movie, did quite a bit of research into John Adams, who at the time was considered a footnote in US history. Many of the quotes were real.

Very true, yes.

That one is not.

The word Law Firm was not something Adams would have been acquainted with, nor the stereotype that a law firm would be two people's name.

Not trying to be picky. It's just my favorite play, so I want it to get its dues. :P
