I am pretty much dead certain that's a female thing. Men are stimulated by what they see. Women can be, too, but are far more stimulated by what's going on in their minds...hence page upon page upon page of what characters are thinking in the average romance novel. Romance novels are female porn...even when they don't have blatant sex scenes in them.

Porn really does not do it for me. It gets boring really, really fast. However, I've read scenes in book or saw scenes in movies that were NOT blatantly sexual that were just about the sexiest scenes I've ever seen or read.

I mean, jeeze, one of the hottest scenes I've ever seen featured the hero and heroine standing 20 feet apart in a crowded room, fully clothed, and addressing each other formally with honorifics.
