So I just recently started playing a game called Tiny Rooms a Tiny Town Mystery by Kiary Games.
It's the first time I've seen a smart device mystery game that wasn't just a list of objects and "find these in the room". This is an actual honest to god find clues and solve puzzles/riddles. Without spoon feeding you answers while also having some fun pop culture Easter Eggs like finding a lab mice cage where the mice have clearly broken out and wondering what they're going to do tonight.
It's refreshing to finally see a game that plays into my love of detective stuff. The Batman games for all their action adventure were very weak on the detective stuff beyond infuriating non-story Riddler puzzles.
I like my puzzles being part of an over arching narrative to give it that actual air of mystery.
