with both MJ and Elvis there are physical places and shrines that are associated with them ie. Graceland and now NeverLand. Esp when Elvis died now ( and in the future) there is a PLACE associated with him for fans to congregate and "worship"

with John Lennon there is just the Dakota apartment building in NYC (yes I know the crowd can get large but it just seems to me just a once a year thing). there is NOT a John Lennon Gift Shop, black velvet posters, candles, towels, conspirosy theories about aliens or hiding away from the public, etc. just a tragic shooting by some slightly unblanaced person.

The MJ thing has grown into another Elvis worship situaiton (let us see what they do in the coming weeks for the first anniv of MJ's death).
