You heard right. Sheen went onto another round of interviews blasting everyone in sight and his publicist finally had enough. When Sheen was informed of this, he said (in another interview) that he wasn't allowed to resign, so he was fired.

Part of the reason I love Two and half men so much, the entire crew wear the same clothes day in and day out. It's like a cartoon that way.

I understand his anger at the producer, and from some of the interviews he did state there were people on the show more important to him that should get paid (i.e. the crew). I think there are several parts of the interviews where he do make some valid points.

That might be. The main problem is trying to wade past the crazy and actually try to see if there's any glimmer of sense in some of what he says.

Can't believe I'm the one to break the news, but Chuckie's apparently been fired from Two and a Half Men.

At least he has his "goddesses" to console him.

On one hand I can understand how Charlie or anyone would think that the network blatantly broke their contract, but on the other hand I fully believe that this move may be the best thing for Charlie's long term health.

The success of the show or the whims of the producers are not worth one's health IMO.

He's in a great deal of denial, and I can tell you from experience that people in denial don't get clean. He doesn't think he has any problems, and it's pretty clear to anyone who's seen or read any of the many interviews he's done over the past weeks that he has some pretty major issues.

As far as the show goes, 1) he isn't physically or mentally capable of work right now, and even if he was, chances are nobody else in the cast *wants* to work with him right now. 2) He lavished anti-Semitic insults on the show's creator and his boss. 3) He's almost certainly shattered any good behavior clause he may have signed. 4) He personally didn't want to come back, unless his pay was increased to $3 million an episode. Know how long it takes to film a 22 minute sitcom? Couple of days. He wanted $3 MILLION for that.

I think it would only be appropriate for the show to go on another half-season or so without him. The main set *is* laid out like the one from the end of Laverne & Shirley's run...

I don't believe his comments were anti-Semitic, but I do agree that he is unable to do any type of work right now. The thing is I see a lot of media harping on the fact that he is living with two women and I am thinking that if that's the way he wishes to live his life then that's his right.

I just wonder if he was and able to stay sober, would the media still think he needs "help" simply because his view of relationships are different from others?

Well, to be fair - I don't give two shits about the fact that he's living with two women. To each their own.

I care that he has, on NUMEROUS occasions (most of which have been verified and documented), been a violent, abusive, law-breaking asshole.

I care that he's got kids that are witnessing this freak show, and are likely going to need SERIOUS therapy because of it.

I care that THIS is what qualifies as 'entertainment' nowadays.

I care that he has surrounded himself with an enabling pack of yes-men, all of whom would NOT be there if it weren't for his money and/or quasi-fame.

Seriously? At what point do we stop blaming drugs/alcohol for shitty behavior and start making people like this take even an *IOTA* of personal responsibility for their actions?

Edited to add: Would an average citizen be permitted to brandish a machete around on a rooftop (whilst ranting like a loon) *without* police intervention? I ask this with all seriousness.

This here I agree with 100% The View commented today about some media outlets still viewing it as funny and how it's a man that needs help. And the yes-men are not helping and Charlie has to get help and take personal responsibility for making his own decisions.

I care that he hopefully gets the help he needs.
