  • Movies that are so bad, they're funny

There's loads of movies I've seen that fit this description; the best bad/funny movie I've ever seen tho is "Kiss Meets The Phantom Of The Park". It's just so hilarious. XD Rinkworks has an absolutely hysterical review of it, which says everything I think about this movie: http://www.rinkworks.com/badmovie/m/...ark.1978.shtml

Honourable mentions also go to "Streetfighter", "Phantasm" and the animated "Lord Of The Rings".

The one that came to mind first is The Room. It's written, directed, and starred in by the same guy. He doesn't really have the talent for any of those roles. The whole movie was horribly cheesy with sex scenes that lasted way too long, and there was tons of reused footage. But oh my DOG it was hilariously awesome! I would love to add it to my DVD collection if I could find a copy for less than $5 xD

I loved the sex scenes. They were dressed, then undressed, then while having the sex they put the clothes back on, then they took them off again. Then hair down, then up again, oh it's down, wait back on.

      Bad....bad movie.

I have to agree with this. The movie is just over-the-top ridiculous, but I can't help watch it over and over again. The look on Paul Giamatti's character's face when he finds out it was a doll and not the baby was just classic.

The Arrival. For having a scene in which Charlie Sheen uses an alien machine to turn himself into a Mexican to hide from aliens.

Well, and Clive Owen could read from the dictionary and it would be fascinating. The fact that you get to see his naked ass is just a bonus.

When I saw this in the theater with friends we were cracking up at it. It's watchable but hilariously bad. I'm not sure how to explain it other than to say that you will enjoy it but comment on how horrible it was afterward.

I laughed a lot during Eragon. Egads, but that was unintentionally funny; wouldn't watch it again though. And I get flack for this, but Ralph Bakshi's animated Lord of the Rings makes me laugh till I cry and my stomach hurts. Granted, some parts of it were really well done, but mostly it just cracks me up.

Have you seen the techno version remixed on YouTube? I'm sad to say I watched through the whole thing twice... once when I first saw it linked, and then again when I showed it to my husband

A lot of movies reviewed on TGWTG apply. As mentioned, the room. Also,

                        -Battlefield Earth.
                        -Leprachaun.
                        -Dungeons and Dragons movie.
                        -Rockadoodle (animated).

Granted, I'm only going by Nostalgia Critic reviews, but these stick out.

The only movie I saw that I would say is so bad it was funny was Firewall with Harrison Ford. When you have an action thriller with villains that are even stupider than the crooks in Home Alone, you're in for a treat. Not to mention the many absurd situations, including a scene where cars are blowing up and characters are just standing around as if nothing is happening. The movie was only entertaining for how stupid it was.

I saw Eragon in the theater, because of family.

First off, the entire beginning of the movie is a fantasy rip-off of Star Wars, which wasn't exactly the most original plot to begin with. But with the author having stolen whole passages nearly verbatim from Tolkien, it's to be expected.

My favorite part of the whole movie, however, is when the actor refers to the dragon as "him" and rather than doing another take for the kid to get it right, they just overdub it. I get the impression they missed it when they were shooting. Talk about sloppy. 9.9

Same, oh so much. XD Btw, for a great, hilarious review of said hilariabad movie, read this: http://flyingmoose.org/tolksarc/bakshi/bakshi.htm

Adding this; one thing that stopped Streetfighter from being just a pile of crap movie was Raul Julia as M Bison. XD Especially this key scene: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iVzAMmpMra8

Julia did the movie for one reason only; his family. He knew he was dying, so he chose what was likely to be his final film to be something his children and/or grandchildren would enjoy watching him in.
