It was one of the first DVDs I ever bought. I was 14 when that movie came out

Sometimes at work, we like to sing random lines from it.

I love Moulin Rouge, even though I haven't seen it in years. I think I was 18 or 19 when it came out, and I remember seeing it in the theatre with a friend of mine. It stuck with me for a long time after having only watched it that one time, which says a lot since I rarely remember much of movies unless I've seen them a ton of times because I have such a crappy memory I loved Ewan McGregor ever since first seeing him in Trainspotting, and Moulin Rouge helped solidify that admiration even more.

Moulin Rouge is one of those movies that people expect me to love, but I never personally cared for it. Baz Luhrmann films tend to make me dizzy, and I don't care for jukebox musicals as a concept. That's just my personal taste, though, not hating on anyone else for liking it. It's just funny how people assume, "Oh, you're a theatre person, you must love this movie!"

That's kinda how it is for me with CSI and NCIS or Law & Order. It's usually the first or second thing someone asks me when I tell them what I majored in/what I do.

Actually, Greenday, I would assume that you would hate them like poison because of how they misrepresent forensic science.

CSI, yes. Law & Order, yes.

NCIS is good though. It doesn't really have much to do with forensics whereas I can't sit through CSI/L&O episodes without facepalming multiple times.
