This thread made me go searching for old games. I now have a Mac emulator and downloaded a couple of different games... They play in such a tiny little window...

Those I've used (most recently Nestopia, as this thread got me wanting to play some more and the actual NES, while still in the garage, is dead) will let you zoom the window.
One I'd forgotten: RC Pro Am. I'm not sure why it's fun, even, but I've *almost* always liked it, the exception being the time it took to figure out how to steer. Well, of course one fun point is that you're allowed to shoot at the other cars, and they can't shoot back
"My in-laws are country people and at night you can hear their distinctive howl."
Now Tingle, Tingle scared the frak out of me. Dude was 35, obsessed with fairies and dressed in skin tight spandex and undies? You can't tell me he's not on Hyrule's sex offender registry. >.>
At least Navi served a purpose in the form of L/Z targeting (depending on the version). The dogs only purpose was to make you wish you could open up on him.
Did you stick mainly to the main quest? From what I understand, she doesn't really get annoying except when doing side quests.

You know someone made a hacked version of the game where you can shoot the dog.
I am a sexy shoeless god of war!
Minus the sexy and I'm wearing shoes.
Yup. Play it and you'll see what I mean. XD I'd go further and say that Duck Hunt Dog bugs me even more than Mona and Lisa, those irritating bitch twins in Streets of Rage.
And yeah, I've seen the hacked version; wish that had come out back then. XD
Btw; re the Oregan Trail... never heard of that game til Gaiaonline did their own version of it. XD That must be a seriously old game.
It's more fun than it looks, honest. XD Also, oh god, I forgot Lemmings! How could I forget Lemmings? That game entertained me and irritated me in equal amounts so much, the times I got to play it. XD
Oh yeah and here's Skweek; I misspelled the misspelled word in my first post. XD
Though, if you want to try Oregon Trail out, The Learning Company has a Facebook app for it.

Then again, I was better at the game than anyone else in the household, so I was laughing with him.
My brother and I got to the skill level that if we missed a single duck, we'd start over.

My cousin had Duck Hunt; I used to really hate that dog. Most annoying videogame character EVER. -.-
It would have been so cool if one of the easter eggs was that you could shoot that little bastard.
Anyways Old School Games:
Commodore 64 - Silent Service (and the updated version from a few years later)
NES - A game called Arch Rivals. It was a two on two basketball game where you could hit the other players and there was a Mr. Magoo looking guy.
Sega - I didn't get into this one as much.
Play Station - Monster Rancher or Twisted Metal
Arcade - The Star Wars Arcade (both the original Atari one and the Sega one from about 15 years ago).

1981...30 years...now I feel really old. I played it for the first time in the mid 80's on the Apple IIe system in elementary school. Along with the original versions of Where in _____ is Carmen Sandiego. Those game had some interesting copy protection...you had to actually own the book that came with each game because at certain points you had to look on page X at entry Y and give the game the first word on the entry or somesuch. This was back before the Web, of course. Nowadays you can probably find the answers to the questions in a list online or something.
