  • Not that I really care about Russell and Katy that much, but...

WHY do Hollywood types persist in squashing rumors about marital problems, only to file for divorce or separate a few weeks later? I just don't get it.

I love how it was such "BREAKING NEWS" on the E! channel earlier.

Well gee, you showed footage last week of them without their rings on over Christmas.

Wait, didn't Katy just take a year off to "have a family"?

Here's an idea that celebs might want to consider:

Since celebs can't seem to handle what a marriage is like, how about just shacking up, doing the nasty and when you two cannot stand each other you move out. What a concept!

My theory is that they can afford divorces and if one has less fame and money over the other they can go with half and then some for their divorce nest egg unless there's a prenup.
There are no stupid questions, just stupid people...

Meh. They don't like talking about it, or their publicists don't like them talking about it. Either way, it is their personal business. Unless we are talking horrifying plastic surgery, Batman sequels, and/or dick and nip slips, I am not interested.

The crap I hate is when someone will deny something is going to happen and then it happens. This happens a lot in politics, entertainment and big time sports. Let's take sports for instance.

For example, this last year, Texas A&M University accepted membership to the Southeastern Conference (SEC) for sunmer of 2012. This gave the SEC 13 teams. Since, for football, there are two divisions, one of the conferences would have one more team than the other (7-6 teams)

The SEC commissioner when announcing and explaining what is happening in his conference was so unnecessarily coy about the whole thing.

First, after A&M got the bid, the SEC stated that the SEC had no intention for expansion (bullshit) and that A&M was more or less a fluke and too good for them to pass up. This is bullshit because the SEC wants to expand their brand and knew that there would be defectors from A&M's old conference, The BIG XII. The SEC wants to expand into Texas and this was their opportunity.

Second, the same SEC commissioner stated after A&M's acceptance and admission that the SEC would be looking for no more members in the forseeable future. Of course, this is also bullshit, they needed another member to make the conference an even number. The SEC also had several schools on the hook dying to get it.

In brief, the commisioner of a sports conference could not state the true reasons and motives for doing what they did. Why couldn't they say, "Yes, we are/were looking at expanding our reach into the Texas market, and secondly, yes, we are seeking another team to balance everything out, applications now accepted.

SEC has added Mizzou since the acceptance of A&M, correct?
