I've met a few musicians. At an Enter the Haggis concert a couple years ago, I got to meet and take pictures with the band. They were all really cool, really laid-back guys. Same with the Ten Tenors, who I also got to meet at one of their shows. When Cherish the Ladies came to town several years ago, I got autographs from Joanie Madden and Heidi Talbot, both of whom were lovely.

And at each and every instance, I will not deny that I was grinning like a little kid in the world's largest toy/candy/puppy store. I wouldn't go so far as to say that I gushed, but I did very enthusiastically tell them how much I love their work and loved their shows.

I have a few people, though, that I probably would go completely fangirly over if I ever met them.

Ryan Stiles lives just outside of town. He's actually rather shy in person, and likes to be left alone. The unspoken rule is that if you see him, you can say "hi" in passing, but don't bug him.

He used to frequent the pub we used to also frequent (which closed, sadly...*sighs*). He liked to play poker there, while Hubs, myself, and the rest of the gang were next door at the pool tables. Hubs (who had just moved here), was all, "Pleeeeaaase! I just want to say hi!" I was all "I will shove this pool stick up your a** if you bug him. Don't bug him! He's not going to like you for it!"

Though I do know someone who got a laugh out of him when they saw him in the grocery store, turned to their friend, and said "Hey, did you notice that guy looks like Ryan Stiles?"
