I can't hear 50 Shades anymore without picturing this expression.

I was going to reference Story Of O, but I wasn't sure if anyone would know what I was talking about. I stumbled accross it while reading about the "Girl In The Box" case. Anyway, the fans of Shades Of Dullness would probably spontainiously combust if they read O.

Now I'm curious as to how 50S stacks up against stuff like the Sleeping Beauty trilogy, too.

One thing that irritated me about the book was the constant reference to "my sex". It's called a VAGINA. Jeez, if you're writing erotica, you should be mature enough to use proper terms. It's only a short distance away from going all "My Immortal" and saying, "He put his thingy into my you know what and we did it". -.-

            "My Sex"? Really?

I can think of about a dozen different euphemisms without even trying.

I can too. I'll share them sometime.

The thing is, people use 'sex' when they're really amateur erotica writers.

50s supposedly started out as a fanfic. Which is... Well, if they say 'sex' in it... I'll believe it. >_<

"And girls don't show boys their no-no parts until they get married!" I can't remember what game that line was from, but it was spoken by a talking, pink cat.

Also I can't help but wonder which fifty shades of gray? I mean I know it's the name of a book, but are these shades closer to 0,0,0 or 255,255,255? Why grayscale, anyway? Are they cheap like me and unable to afford a color printer? .Gif files can hold 255 different colors, right? So why limit yourself to just fifty?

Maybe I'm looking too deeply into this…

                  It's not a fanfic, it's a fapfic.

ya. the male lead's last name is grey. so it's attempting to be a deep metaphor and yet, really, isnt.
the only 50 shades of grey i like is in a man's salt n pepper hair
All uses of You, You're, and etc are generic unless specified otherwise.

I haven't read the books or seen Magic Mike, and I don't have any desire to. But if my husband had BDSM porn on his computer or wanted to go to a strip club, I wouldn't mind.

We've been together for 6 years and he's never asked or expressed a desire to, but he knows I'd be fine with it as long as he wasn't going all the time and blowing a ton of money.

When my ex-boyfriend and I were still together, he went to a strip club with some of his co-workers for another co-worker's bachelor party. All the other women I knew were shocked that I let him go, and said that they'd never let their boyfriends/husbands go to one. I told them I didn't care because he was going with a group for a special occasion, and it's not like he'd ever do anything with a stripper, and at the end of the night he'd still be in a relationship with me, not the stripper, so I didn't care if he went out and had fun with his friends.

If my boyfriend wanted to go to a strip club, I would go WITH HIM.

Case in point, for his 21st, his mates did a pub crawl with me and some of my friends. All of us apart from 2 people wound up at the Crazy Horse (strip joint in Adelaide).

Yes my boyfriend got a lap dance. So did his mate (birthdays were within a week of each other). I sat there thinking "Yep, they're fake. Yep, they're fake" as the girls changed around. (we wound up by the pole dancer, but we were close enough to the stage that I could see some of the performances) I should mention at this point I'm wearing a somewhat low-cut tunic top with a plunge bra. Guess what happens next?

My somewhat drunk boyfriend proceeds to reach inside my shirt and try to pull my boobs out. Key word being TRY. The girl who was up there at the time then playfully refused to perform after that going something like "Damn, your boobs are bigger than mine how will I compare?"

Then it turned out that she lived in the same town as one of my boyfriends mates....after which said friend proceeded to stuff play money down her panties. (various servers were going around with play money that you could "buy" and place in the servers panties as a tip of sorts I think)

One of our other friends who had joined us (married couple) told me that shortly after they got married, he took her to a strip club interstate and got a lap dance for the both of them!

I've read both the Sleeping Beauty Trilogy and the Exit to Eden books. I preferred the Sleeping Beauty Trilogy. Plus, Bertrice Small, who mainly writes historical romance, has a series of present day erotica books concerning The Channel (which a corporation owned by whom we presume to be the Devil and The Channel grants the woman watching it her fantasy of whatever type of sex, situation she wants, but then they realize they don't need The Channel because they have living breathing man who can do all that for them - love the series, but I'm a big Bertrice Small fan).

I have not read 50 Shades. But now I want to buy the Sleeping Beauty Trilogy (friend borrowed it, lost contact with friend) and 50 shades and read them and take notes.

I noticed the newest issue of Cosmo has a cover story: "Spice up the bedroom with these moves from Fifty Shades of Grey"
"Any state, any entity, any ideology which fails to recognize the worth, the dignity, the rights of Man...that state is obsolete."

Cosmo's 'sex tips' have to be written by people who either hate sex or don't know how it works.
