Here's a Doctor Who Fanfilm that wasn't too bad. I think it was meant to be part of "9's" run since the actor playing The Doctor resembles Ecclestein, though he comes off with "10's" personality.

Fire And Ice

Then I stumbled across a Firefly fanfilm which basically bridges the gap between Objects in Space and Serenity, explaining why Badger wasn't in the movie.

The acting is pretty weak and I think some of the writing is trying too hard. It's like it has to remind you every other line, "Yup, we watched Firefly before filming this." Then there's the comment about Zoey and Wash that I thought was unnecessary. All in all though, it was fair enough for an amateur film.

A few years ago, this guy I know was trying to start up a web series based on Highlander. They were waiting for permission from Davis and Panzer to move along but it never happened. Fortunately they've since moved on and are now affiliates of The Hunted.
