It looks okay on the more earthy tones, but kinda fucked up on the aquatic tones. Rainbow Dash and Twilight Sparkle look like horrific mutants. Then there's the body design, gah. Copypasted with different hair, rail thin and they all have miniskirts on. I've only ever seen like 2 episodes of the show total and mostly through clips, and even I know they wouldn't all wear miniskirts. I mean, isn't one of them named Fluttershy?

Also, holy fuck are the dolls hideous. Creepy, anorexic Stepford wife ponies.

Talk about running contrary to the entire idea of the show.

Yeah, nobody is particularly happy with the blatant "Hasbro wants a line to compete with Bratz" aspect.

I stand by my statement that the final product is still superior to the original promotion material, though.

And besides, the colors thing worked for "Doug".

I dunno. The look kinda works for Pinkie Pie somehow.

But yeah, the overall design is still a bit awful.

The dolls are hideous. While I don't like the Bratz-like look in general, it's pulled off far better in the animation than those dolls are managing. =>_<=

Duelist925 said it: Sure, loads of Bronies clop to pony pr0n. But every fandom is full of r34 art. There's already r34 Littlest Pet Shop! (For the sake of your eyes and your sanity, unless that's specifically your bag, please don't go hunting for it! Trust the skunk.)

I think the characters are pretty ugly, but they're catering to a very specific audience, and doing the sort of reverse-chibi thing popular with Bratz where you have extremely thin bodies and limbs with big heads and feet that flare out like tripp pants. It's definitely a style, though not one I care for.

I don't think the blue skin looks weird, partly because I watched a lot of Nickelodeon's "Doug." Honk honk!

Plus, the final designs are still a vast improvement over the initial announcement ones. As I recall, originally the girls all kept their horns/wings, and had their cutie marks show up as a tattoo-like mark on one cheek.

            It looked very bizarre.
actually, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy and Twilight gain wings in the scene with the Elements. (thouhg thankfully, it looks like that is ONLY while the Elemwnts are actually active)
