I was raised mormon and that's really sad because he was one of the sweetest people ever. He was the prophet for most of my life or at least the one I remember the most. Granted all the prophets seem kind and sweet but still.

yes phelps has freedom of speech, he can do this and I won't say he has no right too, I believe that strongly in the first amendment.


However, that does not mean what he has been doing for the past few years isn't both in poor taste or in unsound mind. He is mad cause not everyone will play by his rules, like a spoiled child who wants everyone to play the way he wants so he always wins. The problem is that most kids say 'no' and play their own way, so he whines, moans and cries about it every way he can. Just let him look like an idiot and one day karma will get him

It does really boggle the mind. Not that a guy is that crazy, just that he's got almost a hundred people crazy enough to follow him.

The guy really is crazy. CRAZY. Don't try to find logic in what he does. He is crazy, and he hates everyone. He has to reach a bit to find reasons to hate everyone, but I see that he manages. You try to find logic in it your brain will start to hurt. There is no logic to what he and his pack of crazies say or do. Bottom line is he just likes to be on TV, but of course, he can't say that. So he makes something up.

Ugh.. those Westboro Baptist loonies are a piece of work. They picketed the funeral service for the Sago miners, but I'll point out they had to do it from a distance. Why? The service was held at Wesley Chapel at West Virginia Wesleyan College, also my alma mater, also a private school. I cheered when the director of admissions told them flat out, 'Private property, keep out!' So they were relegated to the sidewalk across from campus, a good football field's length from the service.

They picketed that one for the same reason they've picketed soldier's funerals. I happened to get a glance at a page they put up about the Sago disaster and basically called all of the people having candle light vigils for the miners 'heathens', and actually said 'Candle light vigil? What's that?' Ignorant morons. All I can say is, they're damn lucky there was a large police presence for that funeral, because miners can be one rough bunch if you mess with one of their own. Some day, they're gonna push the wrong button.

I had to Google the Westboro group to see who the heck they were (yes I live under a rock shhhh) ... from what I can they are a group severely messed up people! Picketing anyone's funeral is ... well disgusting in my opinion..

Hopefully they can be kept far away...
