    Say it ain't so!

I was just violently reminded when all the right-wing fundies were crying and claiming "WE'RE MOVING TO CANADA" over the passing of the Affordable Care Act/talking about gun control legislation.

I've actually heard this before when discussing homosexuality, a friend of one of my cousins bought up transgender people as being "fixed", I said I thought the idea of gender reassignment surgery was because that the person felt like they were born in the wrong body. She took that to mean that I was agreeing with her when I wasn't, so I told her I knew somebody that is a woman now who was born a man and that she's a lesbian.

But in many ways Canada is more restrictive than the US is Hell, they have had socialized medicine as far back as I can remember. I know for a fact they did back in 1971, my dad fell and broke his arm and they fixed him right up at the ER. I don't remember him saying that he had any trouble being USAian in a Canadian hospital.

          Yes.

Their ignorance of that fact is why AW is reminded of them.

          And why it's funny, too.
