    just a mild correction.

    gnosticism and theism are two different spectrum, dealing with knowledge and belief.
    everyone is agnostic. since there is no way to know for sure about god-claims until after we kick the bucket, nobody can claim with honesty to be Gnostic.

    atheists simply do not believe a god claim. most people are also atheists, except about whatever god they happen to follow. for example, most christians would be atheists about zeus. wheras asatru people would be atheist about Allah. it's not so much believing that "there is no god" as a "i don't believe in that particular god."

    you can be agnostic and a theist, or agnostic and an athiest, but just saying agnostic is only a statement on knowledge and leaves out belief.
