French man blames Uber for breaking up marriage after glitch let wife follow his ever
Actually, he may have a case, albeit not for the reason he thinks. If you sign inot an Uber account o a phone, even AFTER you sign out on that phone, the app continues to deliver notifications about where you are being picked up and dropped off. That- in the EU- is probably as breach of data protection legislation. That failure to obey data protection legislation cost the guy his marriage (especially since it's not actually confirmed he was cheating- he may well have been, but the article just says his wife suspected cheating) so he may actually have a case. Not because Uber deliberately broke up the marriage, but because Uber's negiligence caused the end of the marriage.
