I am at the thought that if you want your tubes tied then do it. If you want to have children after that then you should have thought about that. I know that there is egg harvesting. If you want another child there is invetro.

A doctor can not be forced to do a procedure but there should be an alternative doctor that can help. If they want to the procedure they the woman needs to sign a contract stating that they will not sue the doctor if they change their mind after the procedure.

I do know that, hell, I even know the hormone responsible for it, but well...

Nyobio, it's just different for other people. I know that I would never want to live without sex. Maybe I'm weak-willed, but I get way too much out of it to even consider not doing it. Then again, I also take responsibility for my actions. Hence why I'd like to take the ultimate responsibility to ensure that no child comes of my actions. I know I would be a terrible mother. I would hate to inflict that on any child.

1 in 5 women report regretting the decision to get their tubes tied. It doesn't mean that they all sue. The percentage that sue is probably very low.

But as a doctor, you'd have to be concerned about performing a procedure in which a full 1/5th of your patients regret it.

You know, there are drugs available that have the effect of reducing or entirely eliminating one's libido... could use those (and, you wouldn't care that you weren't getting the sex either, to counter the next argument!)
ZOE: Preacher, don't the Bible got some pretty specific things to say about killing?

SHEPHERD BOOK: Quite specific. It is, however, Somewhat fuzzier on the subject of kneecaps.

Depo certainly did that for me, but I also gained about 20 pounds on it due to being hungry all the freaking time.

I prefer actually getting excited with my partner instead of being bored, thank you very much.
